About Raduč Hill
Raduč Hill stands as the highest peak on Murter Island, reaching 128 meters in height. The hill offers stunning viewpoints that capture the beauty of the Murter Sea, the Kornati Islands, and the surrounding archipelago. Historically, the site boasts remnants of a military complex built during the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, which includes a command building, observation tower, and a series of tunnels. However, the current state of these facilities is concerning due to neglect, posing safety risks to visitors.
Project Goals
The main goal of "Let’s Discover Raduč" is to invigorate local activism and volunteerism while enhancing awareness of the cultural and natural significance of Raduč Hill. The initiative seeks to develop active tourism in the area through properly arranged trails for hiking, biking, and running.

Een mooie wandeling ernaar toe. Eenmaal boven is er veel te zien. Je kon naar boven in de bunker maar ook door de ondergrondse gangen! Onze kinderen 6 en 9 jaar vonden het spannend maar super leuk. Een zaklamp kan ook telefoon is prima te doen. Dichte schoenen zijn wel handig. En het is gewoon gratis toegankelijk.

Anfahrt mit dem PKW von 2 Seiten möglich. Ausblick spitze, über Murter, Betina und die Kornaten. Bunker sehr interessant, Erfurcht und man versetzt sich kurz in die Zeit der Weltkriege zurück. Beim Aufstieg zu Fuß unbedingt im Sommer an ausreichend Trinken und Kopfbedeckung denken.

Fajne miejsce , przepiękne widoki . Można podjechać autem ( drogą szutrowa , kręta ) lub 15 minut na pieszo . Miejsce historyczne . Warto zabrać latarkę do tuneli wydrążonych w skałach . Piękna panorama Kornati z jednej strony a z drugiej pobliskie miasteczka Betina i mariny . Minus : brak restauracji .

Wir sind mit einem Geländewagen die unbefestigte Straße hochgefahren. Das fand ich bereits abenteuerlich. Zum Wandern gut geeignet. Absolut toller Ausblick. Es gibt auch einen Bunker mit 300 Meter Gänge. Taschenlampe ist Pflicht, da im Dunkeln schnell die Orientierung verloren geht. Es sind wohl zwei Etagen. Der Eingang befindet sich in einem Häuschchen, ein paar Meter vom höchsten Punkt entfernt. Sind einfach dem Schotterweg gefolgt. Alles kostenlos.

It's difficult to imagine the suffering that comes from war, but this is a part of history. The tunnels are worth exploring, you'll need your phone torch. You won't get lost as they're easy to navigate. Views are nice.
