Hello and welcome to my Art Page! My name is Merri, and as a painter, I go by the name Merri Van Te. I have a passion for exploring various forms of art, and I wear many hats in my creative journey. MERRY ART is my brand focused on painting and photography, as well as other forms of visual arts. The name reflects the joy I find in creating art, and I hope that you, as an audience, can feel that same happiness through my work.

My Artistic Journey

It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact moment I started my artistic journey. Like many things in life, it was gradual. I began with arts and crafts during boring winter days, which eventually evolved over the years. My journey included crocheting jewelry, exploring decoupage, and finally experimenting with acrylics. I distinctly remember the year 2018 when I created my first 'official' painting after watching a YouTube video featuring a gentleman who painted a breathtaking waterfall using the One Stroke technique. I was so inspired that I tried it myself, and was overjoyed with the outcome. That moment marked the beginning of my serious venture into painting, and I've never looked back.

Artistic Evolution

As of 2022, my passion for creating art continues to thrive. Each piece I create is an opportunity for me to experiment, discover, and grow as an artist. Recently, someone observed that they could sense the peace and happiness I experienced while creating my paintings, and that is exactly what I strive for.
