This was SO cool! I loved this the most from our entire tour we did. There aren’t too many tourists and the locals are very kind. The whole area is full of beautiful pomegranate trees, which the locals take and make into amazing fresh juice. What a welcome treat on a 40º day. Take my money! The fortress isn’t well kept, but it gives is a more realistic and traditional feel than the rest of the buildings we saw around Mostar etc having been rebuilt. I loved all the nooks and crannies to explore, and the gorgeous views from every level. I loved how the locals have built their homes into some of these places. What a lovely little artistic neighbourhood. I’d love to come back during the cooler weather!

Es una pasada de pueblo. En mi opinión merece mucho la pena hacer una parada y dedicarle al menos unas horas para recorrer sus principales puntos de interés. Está a una media hora de Mostar por lo que queda de camino a muchos lugares destacados de Bosnia. Recomiendo subir a lo alto para disfrutar las vistas desde la cima.

Buena excursión. Recomendable en primavera o en verano a primera hora por el calor que hace en la zona. Desde la torre hay unas vistas espectaculares pero hay que subir con cuidado.

Free entry to the fortress area, need to pay to enter the mosque. Small amount of tourist souvenirs/crap but some nice old lady's selling some tasty drinks and snacks. Well preserved and some cool views on the watchtower. Would definitely recommend parking at the top which is free and going down inside to explore. There was tourists but not a great deal and some signage around. Worth the visit especially as it's free and was on the way to mostar for us.

A Hidden Gem Straight Out of a Fairytale Visiting Počitelj was a truly magical experience. This charming village is nestled along the banks of a beautiful river and features a picturesque fortress that looks like it belongs in a storybook. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and walking through the area feels like stepping into a fairytale. Everything about it is lovely—from the serene atmosphere to the scenic paths. If you're looking for a peaceful, enchanting escape, Počitelj is definitely worth the visit.
