Picturesque, tranquil, and calm, this hidden beach with submerged Roman ruins lies off the beaten track before Verige Bay and can be reached by a narrow stone stairway. There are large, flat slabs of rock to relax on which naturally lower into the sea. Named after Sofia Wolpert (1959-2024), born in Yugoslavia, who emigrated to and raised her family in Santa Monica, California, returned to Brijuni every year for two decades. This was Sofia’s favorite beach on her beloved island of Brujuni.
