Wonderful Day Trip to Kotor with Filip Travel — Plus a Hidden Gem! We booked Filip Travel’s “Bay of Kotor” tour from Cavtat and it was one of the best parts of our trip. The drive along the Dalmatian Coast was stunning, and our guide, Filip, was friendly and full of interesting stories. Highlights included the pretty village of Perast, the boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks (worth the extra €20), exploring medieval Kotor City, and incredible views from Trojica Hill. After the tour, we had a memorable lunch at what Filip called his hidden gem — it turned out to be one of the best meals we had on our entire visit. Our tour with Filip to Montenegro was wonderful. He picked us up early to avoid potential crowds at border control but we had no problem and it was smooth sailing to Montenegro. The drive was comfortable, peaceful, beautiful easy it was perfect. We stopped early in the bay of Kotor in a wonderful café for a coffee or a drink, and it started a journey of beautiful visits to Kotor, Perast, and just the most beautiful mountain ocean area that I've been to. Felip was a wonderful, educated, strong guide. Highly recommended

Montenegro was on my bucket list. I knew it would be a beautiful place to visit. But, today’s 12-hour tour to Montenegro was actually MAGICAL thanks to our exclusive guide Filip Matijević! Filip’s shared his abundant knowledge of the local culture, geography and historic events (current and past), had connections with other persons in the town who provided additional value to the day, and he selected of a beautiful local garden estate for an amazing meal. We did a private day trip to Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor with Filip and it was amazing. He picked us up in a brand new and very comfortable car. On the drive, he gave a lot of great information about both Croatia and Montenegro. We first went to Kotor where a tour guide showed us around the old town. We then had some free time to explore the city ourselves after. Then we did a short drive to Perast and took the boat to visit the Our Lady of the Rocks. Filip then took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch with the most stunning views and food. Overall, I would highly recommend taking a tour with Filip!

Absolutely awesome private tour of Kotor, Montenegro Filip picked us up from Dubrovnik in a luxury sedan. Filip’s knowledge of the area history is incredible! We got insights on the best places to visit, a guided tour of the walled city of Kotor. A private boat ride to the island of “The Church of the Lady of the Rock”. Return trip included a stop at a local family restaurant where I had the best fish dish I’ve ever had! This was the best investment in our time on our vacation and an incredible bargain too! Can not recommend highly enough!

We had an amazing private tour today from Dubrovnik to Montenegro with Filip. There is no way we could have done this tour on our own and seen so much, had such a variety of experiences in just one day. Filip handled the logistics seamlessly, coming up with an alternative plan of travel due to a triathlon. He stopped at several scenic spots so we could take photos along the way, and was so enthusiastic , knowledgeable, and energetic- we felt like he really wanted us to have a good time and not miss out on anything even though I had to walk slowly due to a knee injury. We started with coffee and an amazing croissant at a yacht marina- he was right that they were amazing croissants. We then had a walking tour in Kotor with a local guide, a short boat ride on Kotor bay and ended with a late lunch at an out of the way super charming scenic spot. During all the driving in between he stopped for photos, pointed out everything of interest, and gave us options all along the way. It was truly a one of a kind experience with someone who loves what he does for a living. I have to agree with all the great reviews on Trip Advisor, Google reviews, and his own website that this experience is exceptional.

We are thrilled with the carefully planned private tour Filip travel gave us yesterday to enjoy a full day in Montenegro. Filip himself is a delight with a wealth of knowledge about Croatia and Montenegro. From our 7am hotel pick-up in his luxurious car to our safe return by 5pm each moment of the tour was special. The Bay of Kotor, the town of Perast to Montenegro’s UNESCO site of the well preserved medieval town of Kotor were among our stops. He also took us to a 350 year old family owned property that was a total surprise. From visiting the old stone home, natural water springs and watching ducks splash, we were able to have the most amazing lunch while admiring the tranquil views. If you want to take any of the many tours Filip travel offers you will understand the value of a private tour.

Filip was an amazing tour guide, he drove from Zagreb to meet us early in Dubrovnik (7am) at our hotel to then drive us to Montenegro. He was very knowledge, eager to please and very high energy (despite his epic efforts to accommodate us and meet us early). He was able to adapt the tour and his answers to whatever our questions and interests happened to be, as well as organise ad-hoc activities when requested. My husband and I had an incredible day with our tour guide and driver, Filip, on a driving tour from Dubrovnik to Montenegro, exploring the charming towns of Kotor and Perast. From the moment we were picked up, Filip’s warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic day. His genuine passion for the region truly deepened our appreciation of the stunning places we visited. In Kotor, Filip arranged for a local guide, Ivica, to show us around. Ivica was fantastic, weaving fascinating stories about his hometown, his family’s love for music, and the rich history of the area. We were lucky to experience their Saturday morning market where we got to sample some local delicacies such as brandy and cheeses! In Perast, Filip organized a nice boat ride to the iconic Our Lady of the Rocks island. Although the church was closed, the ride offered us a unique perspective of the breathtaking landscapes around that area. We took so many amazing pictures! Filip’s driving was impeccable, even on Montenegro’s winding roads, ensuring we always felt safe and comfortable. He went above and beyond to make the day special, taking us to stunning scenic viewpoints we would have otherwise missed. He took us to a hidden gem of a restaurant nestled in a beautiful setting, where we enjoyed one of the most delicious meals of our trip. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, personable, and professional guide to create an unforgettable experience, we wholeheartedly recommend Filip. This was the highlight of our trip.
