We were lucky enough to stumble on this on a Saturday morning during our short stay in Ljubljana. Tons of great food vendors from Japanese to Argentinian to Slovenian. They have an area with picnic tables. Also a fountain to wash your hands or fill your water bottle. If you head over towards the Dragon Bridge, there is an actual farmers market with veggies and fruit.

Lovely farmers' market, it's a local tradition to come there on Saturday morning. There's a "mlekomat", fresh milk from a vending machine. On Fridays, check out "Odprta kuhna", fancy local restaurants offering their menus to go. Or "Pivo & Burger Fest" on weekends, local beer and burgers.

Nice open air market in Ljubljana. The prices are not the best (you can find cheaper at the supermarkets) but there is a great variety of vegetables and fruits. Look for the local and organic producers!

A Ljubljana must see! Best on Saturday mornings with all the fresh colourful local farmers' produce. The tradition is to do the weekly food market shopping and finish with a drink along the river bars.
