A wonderful experience at this cosy, family-owned diving center in Croatia. The team was warm, professional, and made us feel right at home. Everything was personal and relaxed — not at all like the big commercial dive shops. The dives were beautiful, well-organized, and suited to all levels. You can tell they truly love what they do. Ich und meine Familie gehen hier schon sehr lange mit Bojan und seiner Familie tauchen. Auch die aowd Ausbildung habe ich hier mit meiner Tochter gemacht. Dieses Jahr haben wir 2 neue Taucher die hier den OWD machten mitgebracht. Das Equipment ist in einem guten Zustand die Boote super. Wir freuen uns schon auf die nächsten Tauchgänge 🤘🤘 gut Luft und eine gute Saison

Ein toller Aufenthalt Ich habe bei der Padi-Basis "More Sub Makarska" meinen Advanced Open Water Diver gemacht. Während dieser Zeit habe ich im benachbarten Gästehaus der Tauchbasis gewohnt, das etwa 50m vom Wasser entfernt ist. Meine Erfahrungen sind durchweg äußerst positiv. Bojan und Agnes Runtic, die die Tauchschule bzw. die Villa More betreuen, sind supernett, zugewandt und hilfsbereit. Und ja: es ist schon etwas ganz Besonderes, dass die beiden alle möglichen Sprachen sprechen und man sich auch sehr gut auf deutsch verständigen kann. Die Fahrten zu den Tauchspots - teilweise sehr verschiedenartige Steilhänge, sozusagen die Fortsetzung des Biokovo-Gebirge unter Wasser - gingen mit dem schnellen Boot der Tauchschule in Windeseile. Mein Dive-Instructor war Bojan, der mich auf eine ruhige und angenehme Art durch die Übungen durchgeführt hat. Das Equipment der Tauchbasis (10L-Stahlflasche, Atemregler, Tarierweste, Bleitaschen, langer 5mm-Neoprenanzug, Tauchcomputer) war in einem sehr guten Zustand, was mir als "Gelegenheitstaucher" ein sehr sicheres Gefühl vermittelt hat. Mein Zimmer war das Appartement 4 (mit Doppelbett, Tisch und 2 Stühlen, einer kleinen Küchenzeile, einem schönen Fernseher, natürlich mit Bad und Dusche und einem kleinen Balkon mit Blick auf das Biokovo-Gebirge und ein kleines Stück Adria. Eine Klimaanlage und ein Kühlschrank waren natürlich auch dabei). Das Zimmer war sauber und einladend - ich kann nur sagen: ich habe mich hier sauwohl gefühlt. Herzlichen Dank an Bojan und Agnes Runtic - und alles erdenklich Gute für die Zukunft!

I went diving with this center about three years ago, and at the time, I joined a Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) session with Bojan. I didn’t have a license back then, but it wasn’t my first DSD — it was probably my fifth — so I had a good idea of what a proper experience should look like. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t it. There were seven people assigned to one instructor, which is definitely not standard or safe practice for beginner divers. We were basically dropped from a boat into around 4 meters of water, and the whole group was bouncing up and down like gummy bears — total chaos. After a while, things calmed down and we swam along the beach. That part of the dive was actually quite enjoyable, at least for me. Bojan also filmed some videos during the dive, which he later offered to sell for an extra fee. Not a big deal, but it felt a bit commercialized. What really bothered me the most was what happened after the dive. On the way back, Bojan stopped at a gas station and we waited about 20 minutes in the heat, stuck on a boat with no shade under the burning sun. Honestly, that kind of personal errand should be handled outside of working hours, not during a customer trip. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience, but there were several things that should have been done more professionally — especially safety ratios and time management. If those were improved, it could be a much better experience for future divers.
