An excellent restaurant in a perfect setting. The food was incredible. You can really tell everything is homemade. The combination of ingredients in some dishes completely surprised me, as I would’ve never thought to put those particular ingredients together. All in all, a solid ten. Can’t wait to come back again.

Unbelievable setting in an old school, with a real modern renovation. The food is amazing, and such good value. Really good at accommodating gluten free, including home made gluten free bread.

At the moment my favorite Istrian restaurant (sharing no1 spot with Konoba Bruno which focuses on seafood only). Everything is top notch but veal carpaccio with garum sauce kills. Wine is of course superb, all Clai bottles are on glass also. ps: music was resembling my Tidal playlists of last 15 years almost 1:1 which was a nice unexpected add-on. 😀 The only change I wish is that they open for lunch also.

We bought the tickets to the Sunday night market for the 16.00 time slot. As it was very hot, we arrived a bit later, at around 18.00. The time slot was 16.00-20.00. When we arrived, there was almost no more food left! There was no more tacos, clams, no more pasta. They didn’t specify anywhere that the food would only be served at 16.00 so naturally we thought there would be enough for everyone to have even later on. They didn’t even warn us that most of the food is no longer available when we arrived and paid for the ticket which cost 70€. Imagine our disappointment when we just paid 140€, only to discover that there was almost no more food left! I must admit that was left was very delicious. The space is really beautiful, so it really is a shame that we had such a bad experience.

Wonderful and warm experience. Superb location with wonderful views. We started with 3 apetizers, which were great but maybe i did expect a bit more. Very quality start tho. We continued with 2 main courses and one of them was aged pork steak - OMG! I am not a fan of pork meat, but this steak was just perfectly amazing. What a taste. Bravo. Just a small fresh salad aside which was also a simplicity and poetry in taste. After that, we ordered 2 deserts which were great again. I forgot how peaches from my childhood tasted like, but a desert reminded me of that feeling. The other desert was a special traditional cake which had realy a specific taste. After a hint, from the waiter, how to eat it, there was realy great taste experience again. After we took another home made kombucha and a coffee on their beautiful terace with a sunset. Pure hedonism. Staff was realy kind and welcoming. Everything on the highest and relaxed level. Sve 5!

Best restaurant in Istria. By far! We celebrated our daughter’s B-day and had amazing private dining experience and they didn’t charge it extra. They just wanted us to have unforgetable experience for life. And we did! It’s that simple :) Go there. Just go :)

We loved our visit to Stara Škola restaurant. The ambiance is stunning – a perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance. The menu is creative, and every dish we tried was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. There’s a great selection of local wines, which paired wonderfully with the food. This is the worst experience and way of approach i have seen traveling around world. Waiter telling us to be quiet at the restaurant. Never seen it nowhere! Had weding and the way they maid us feel is horrible.

This could be just the usual romantic dinner with good food, but it’s not. The passion from the knowledgeable waitrons and chef exudes from every mouthful. From the locally milled ingredients for the bread, the in-house olive oil, paired with the joy of detail in how they cure their meats makes this an exceptional stop. And it’s the first time in many years that I fell in love with not just one wine but two. What an impactful experience. I will be reliving these flavours in my dreams.

Maybe the best price/quality ratio in Croatia. Wonderful ambiance, superb service and food, and absolutely heavenly Clai wines, especially the red and white Ottocento. Exceptional bread made in house. Our favorite savory dish was a magnificent bone marrow. And don't neglect to order their cheesecake, with an amazing cheese made in house.

Wundervolles Ambiente an einem bezaubernden Ort. Die Bar auf dem Dach bietet einen romantischen Ausblick. Das gesamte Lokal ist aussergewöhnlich und stimmungsvoll. Der Service ist charmant, höflich und unaufdringlich. Dadurch fühlt man sich gut umsorgt. Die Preise sind für kroatische Verhältnisse in dieser Kategorie absolut gerechtfertigt. Nicht überteuert wie an so vielen Orten. Ein echtes Erlebnis das man unbedingt genießen muss. Das Restaurant bietet 'a la carte Speisen mit sehr spannenden Kombinationen. Da steckt einfach Liebe drin
