Изначально было очень приятное впечатление, мы забронировали столик заранее и нас встретили очень приятно и проводили к месту. Почему-то при пустом зале, у нас оказалось место прямо возле кухни и туалета, все запахи и шум перекрывали все изначальное впечатление. Первые проблемы начались когда мы попросили обычную воду, нам ответили что возможно только заказать бутылку. Далее мы ждали еду больше часа, к моменту когда всем принесли блюда, очевидно забыли приготовить пасту ребёнку, так что ребёнок ждал с пустой тарелкой еще около получаса. В целом, обслуживание стало очень неприятным, плюс это ожидание... поэтому при оплате счета, мы отказались включать чаевые, однако официант проигнорировав нас, включила чаевые в счёт (это именно чаевые которые выбираются самим клиентом на терминале по желанию!). Еда была вкусной, несмотря на скромные порции, поэтому оценка за еду, минус ужасное обслуживание и неприятное отношение персонала.

Do you want to feel unwelcomed?...we've got just the place! Remember that feeling when you stumble into your sibling's room and even though they are not there themselves you still feel the looming presence of "YOU SHOULD NOT BE HERE!!!" atmosphere. Well - you can relive your childhood memories in Konoba Varos... From the first moments when we were browsing through the menu preparing to place our order we realized that asking for a tap water to quench our thirst in a meanwhile was a mistake. Not only we were refused since this reputable establishment served paid options only, but the service went downhill from that unfortunate episode. Every interaction with the waitress was not-so-hospitable to say the least. The great difference between 'serving a meal' and 'dumping damn plates on the table' was a unique style of our food consumption (I can't call it a dinner) experience. The restaurant setup and decor is more or less good. The food was mediocre: Pašticada, Escalope Zagreb style and Bolognese were okay - nothing to complain about, but also not a memorable and definitely not a finger licking experience. And if you decide to order some grilled veggies on a side expect a small plate of those for Eur 6.5 - I guess if these were at least presented better it wouldn't be as much of a disappointment (see the picture). Summary: Konoba Varos - never again. P.S. oh yes - apparently upon settling your bill remember - saying 'No' when you are offered to add some tips means 10% are 'accidentally' added. Where the answer 'Yes' going to bring you - one can only guess. Good luck :)

Желаете почувствовать себя нежеланными гостями-вам сюда! Эта таверна была с самым высоким ценником из тех что мы посетили в разных городах Хорватии, но с самым неприятным и долгим обслуживанием, грубостью, маленькими порциями (хотя цены х1.5), и это было первое и последнее место где вода подается только бутылочная по 5.50 евро штука. Если вы очень голодны, остальная часть города Сплит сгорела и на улице идет кислотный дождь...все равно не советую... PS пастицада была явно меньше чем на фото тут, но на вкус действительно неплохо, поэтому Еда 2 звезды...

We approached the entrance with a simple question about one of the menu options, but the staff member responded quite rudely. It left a negative impression, and we chose not to dine there. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the food, as we didn’t stay.

Do yourself a favour and skip the cookie cutter bars and restaurants on the Riva promenade and head here to Konoba Varos. Traditional Croatian food done to perfection. No frills. Great service. Great food. And decent prices! What more do you want?

Molt bon plat del dia i amanida. Malgrat que Spli és un lloc tan turístic, aquest restaurant té encant i tan el menjar, com les instal·lacions i el tracte del personal està a l’alçada. De fet, tracte exquisit del personal. Molt recomanable si voleu menjar bé a Split (Kanova és un distintiu de menjar tradicional i bó)

Leider ganz schlecht. Wir saßen fast 20 min, mehrmals ging ein Kellner an uns vorbei. Auf die Frage: „Lunch?“, die wir bejahten, bekamen wir eine Karte auf den Tisch geworfen. Dann kam niemand mehr. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Super rude staff, passed by like 4 times without even being asked anything, pasta was undercooked not flavoured and horrible portion, food is heavily overpriced, location is in the middle of the street and outside was full of bugs, do not recommend

If you are a tourist - you have to avoid this restaurant. Hands down the worst and most unprofessional experience myself and my partner have ever had. They obviously prioritise locals, but treat the tourists like absolute trash. We were waiting in line to be seated - there were 2 guys in front of us who got seated 5 minutes before we did. They managed to order their food, receive it, and also finish it, paid, smoked a cigarette and left before a single item landed on our table. Everyone else in the restaurant was getting served, finished full meals and even got up to dessert before we received anything. We ordered our food, and were met with a lot of attitude by the terrible waiter. It got to a point where we were waiting an hour with absolute 0 communication or apologies, not even eye contact or treated like a person should be treated. We got fed up and had to leave the restaurant because of the ridiculous wait time, and felt totally disrespected by the staff. Disgusting attitude, not welcoming at all. Considering tourism in Split is a massive part of their business, they treat you so poorly. Stay far away - there are far better places than this restaurant where you will actually be treated like a human being and not like a scum bag.

Konoba Varos est un restaurant typique Croate. Il y a une petite terrasse et des tables à l'intérieur. L'accueil est un peu froid mais tout à fait courtois. Au menu, vous trouverez un large choix allant des pâtes à des plats de poisson et fruits de mer ou de belles piéces de viande. Certains plats sont un peu onéreux. C'était ma première expérience culinaire typiquement Croate et je n'ai pas été conquis par les viandes. Le service n'est pas compris dans le prix des plats. On vous demandera d'ajouter un pourboire (montant à votre discrétion).
