A beautiful restaurant in the countryside a short drive from Korcula city. I had “the octupus” … grilled octopus with Black beans and potato. Best dish on our trip. For Dessert an excellent cheesecake… normally I don’t order cheesecake but this I would certainly order again…👍😁

Das Restaurant ist gut zu erreichen über einen kurzen aber gut befahrbaren feldweg. Die Location ist sehr stylisch und romantisch gelegen. Wir waren früh dort und konnten daher noch die Ruhe genießen bevor in mehreren Gruppen fast 40 Amerikaner das Lokal bevölkerten. Entsprechend laut ging es dann zu und die Romantik leidet. Außer den Amerikanern und uns beiden waren noch weitere 4 Europäer da. Und war nicht bewusst dass die Inhaber deb amerikanischen Markt bedienen. Die Preise sind entsprechend dem Klientel angepasst und bewegen sich am oberen limit. Die Qualität ist allerdings auch am oberen Rand anzusiedeln. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend und wir hatten trotzdem einen schönen Abend.

10/10 for service and atmosphere. The starter (seasonal salad) and olive oil/bread was phenomenal (and im from Spain). The lamb Peka was amazing but I thought the veal was a bit dry. That’s my only criticism. Beautiful restaurant and the best food we had in Korčula. Highly recommend, althought be aware that it isn’t cheap. But nothing is in Croatia :)

Konoba Maha is a hidden gem on the island of Korcula. Situated in a rural and remote area, you’re welcomed by a small Konoba surrounded by nature. For those booking, I would highly recommend pre ordering the chicken peka which is a traditional dish that takes 4+ hours to prepare in a historic style. The service, and the white wine that was recommended to us, was also excellent. A great culinary experience!

Die Konoba Maha ist wirklich wunderschön und verkörpert eben alles was eine richtige Konoba so ausmacht. Wir haben im Voraus reserviert und hatten einen gelungenen Abend. Service war überdurchschnittlich gut das Essen traditionell mit einem hauch Moderne zubereitet. Die Preise sind aber leider abgehoben! Würde ich meiner kroatischen Verwandtschaft in Dalmatien erzählen das ich für den Soparnik 22€ bezahlt habe wäre das Raunen und Entsetzen groß. Man merkt den Netflix Einschlag und Ich gönne den Erfolg aber die Preise sind leider an das überwiegend Amerikanische Publikum angepasst worden. Es ist und bleibt nunmal Hausmannskost und kein Finedining Restaurant weshalb es zu diesen Preisen wahrscheinlich doch nur eine einmalige Sache bleibt so toll wir es auch fanden.

This was one the most well-rounded dining experiences in my life, and at 77 I've had a few. EVERYTHING, from food to wines to service to atmosphere, was extraordinary. This authentic Croatian cooking at its very best

We had our first Peka here. The setting is a beautiful garden with outdoor ovens. They gave a small presentation to tell us the history and process of Peka. The food was outstanding! The portions are very large. We also ordered some dishes to go along with the Peka that were delicious! I would highly recommend Konoba Maha!! Don't forget to order your Peka 24 hours in advance.
