A perfect dining experience. We started with a truffled yellow tail and a seared tuna which were both prepared with imagination and skill. Next came some of the best pasta I've ever been served and we finished with some delightful steak. This is a must visit if you're in the region.

Nach dem Abgang des Initial-Chefs Sebastijan Kovacic übernahmen letztlich die Hausbesitzer die Kontrolle über die Gastronomie. Das Ambiente ist unverändert (toll), der Kohlegrill als zentraler Altar der zelebrierten Fleisch-Cuisine steht unverändert an der Wand. Sichtlich bemühen sich die neuen Betreiber, den Spirit und die Qualität des verflossenen Großmeisters aufrechtzuerhalten. Und das funktioniert bereits in weitgehendem Ausmaß. Ein wenig an den Details muss allerdings noch gefeilt werden: Die Fleischqualität war nicht ganz dort, wo Sebastijan vor zwei Jahren aufgehört hat. Die Vorspeisen waren opulent mit Trüffel versehen, aber der letzte Gaumenkitzel, die finale Geschmacksexplosion, sie fehlte einfach. Dennoch: ein gelungener Abend mit guter Weinkarte und sympathischen Gastgebern in atemberaubendem Ambiente - eindeutig eine Empfehlung für alle, die in die Gegend kommen.

What a find in this little town, but mentioned in the Michelin guide. Beautiful setting, friendly staff. Small menu but enough options for pescetarians. Winelist smallish, but some smart choices. Four out of five stars for food, some improvement still possible. The ceviche looks great with the Rice puff slices but it is not helping the dish. Needed some salt and oemph. Tuna excellent! Coquille also good but not great. Turbot a treat, well done, but at a price. Recommended to go.

Unbelievable food cooked to perfection. Homemade pasta with truffles melted in the mouth, followed by the best cowboy steak I have ever tasted. All accompanied by the most delectable Slovenian wines and attentive, friendly service. Well worth the drive out, the view is as amazing as the food.

We had a big expectations for a Michelin star nominee restaurant, but we were hugely dissappoined. We wanted to try some local wines, but there was no wine list available and waiter had very limited knowledge of them. Our appetizers were - for the lack of better word BAD. I asked how beef tatare is made prior ordering..... and then it arrived smuddered in mayo.... totaly inedible. Pasta was hard and hard to swallow. Loooooong way to Michelin star.

Located on top of a small mountain in Korte, Hisa Torkla provides beautiful views of the surrounding valley, while you dine. The food, service, and atmosphere is fantastic. The Fuži (Istrian pasta) with truffles, is to die for. Their meats and vegetables are seared over open flames in the dinning room, so you can see the chef prepare your meal. If you are in Izola, Piran or otherwise nearby, I would strongly recommend making the short drive to Hisa Torkla.

Popolno doživetje! Krasen ambijent, prijazeni lastnik, ki nama je svetoval pri izbiri. Hrana je bila božanska, z lokalnim pridihom. Čeprav sva prikolesarila brez srajčke in kravate, so naju postregli, kot kralja. Gostilna, kjer je gost z velikim G. Hvala za gostoljubje. Toplo priporočava!
