We had an amazing luncheon at Gostilna Gadova Pec! This family owned charming restaurant is located in the quaint village of Podbocje. We had so much fun with the warm and friendly owners, Uros Kerin and his wonderful family that prepared and served outstanding traditional Slovenian dishes. We enjoyed chicken noodle soup, "like my grandmother used to make", platters of tasty beef, pork, and chicken served with locally grown fresh variety of vegetables, and finished with yummy flaky fruit strudel. Thank you, Erika! Of course, the nearby family owned vineyard provided plenty of good wine; Godova Pec's own "Gostilna Godova Pec Cvicek" a semi dry red, was enjoyed throughout our visit. I look forward to coming back again. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!
