If you are traveling trough Slovenia, and you want to try a typical Balkan BBQ, don't hesitate! Specialties like čevepčiči, pljeskavice, šiš čevap, gravče, pečene paprike, blakava, ajvar, kajmak, are definitely a must try. Don't forget to order coffee at the end: just ask for Kafa (Turkish black coffee cooked in Đezva and drunk from Filđan, with Drina aside :) ) You can find the restaurants in several cities across Slovenia: Ljubljana, Kranj, Jesenice, Radovljica, Izola ... The restaurant name is a closing line from a partisan movie 'Walter defends Sarajevo'

Best place to eat and experience true balkan food: čevapi, plijeskavica, pita... Truly a great experience. The whole restaurant is decorated in the original balkan style, the music is balkan also. It is really a great experience overall. The prices are not too harsh on your wallet, the staff are very nice and pleasant. The restaurant also offers student menus, which are very useful for us, students. Definetely reccomend the Das ist Valter restaurant!
