We stayed for 6 nights at the apartment with two children (6 and 11 yo). Overall everything was great and I would be happy to return again. The apartment is in an apartment complex which seems to be owned/used mostly by locals. The actual apartment is on the ground level so do not expect a view. When we stayed there the weather was great, 30+ Celsius each day, so we used the apartment almost only for sleeping. The upper level is used by the owners who are really friendly. They also assisted us regarding fishing rules and permission. There is no fence around the apartment complex so I assume it is less ideal for smaller children. The Bohinj area seemed to be very secure, people left their high value bikes around, so we were not concerned about the kids walking around with walkie-talkies. There is a trail behind the apartment complex to the creek/river, the scenery is breathtaking. The apartment complex is behind the Hotel Bohinj by the way so it is in safe distance from the public road. It is in walking distance to the lake and the center of the village where you can find restaurant, grocery shop and post office. The apartment itself was clean and modern, it is well equipped, the only think we missed was a microwave oven. There is however a normal oven and plenty of induction cookware so this was a minimal inconvenience only. There is a dishwasher, espresso machine too and stuff which one uses to put together a breakfast or simple dinner. There is wifi and a TV too. To sum up, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at the apartment near the lake, surrounded by majestic mountains. It was the perfect escape for relaxation, offering a serene atmosphere with the freshest air imaginable. The peacefulness of the location was truly remarkable, providing a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What made my experience even more memorable were the hosts, who were the most friendly and welcoming individuals I've ever encountered. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, offering local tips and making me feel like part of their extended family. Overall, this apartment is a hidden gem, offering tranquility, stunning natural beauty, and exceptional hospitality. I can't wait to return and experience this slice of paradise again
