We stayed at the Gospodi apartment for four nights when we visited a friend in Umag and we had a great time. This place is actually a tiny village with just two residents, Dean and his wife. They are the hosts of the apartments. Dean gave us a warm welcome and it felt immediately like we were visiting a good friend. He offered us a drink, showed us around and gave us a lot of tips of places to visit. Dean and his father are renovating the houses and they are doing a great job. They are dedicated to keep the authentic look and feel. We stayed at the apartment with a separate bedroom, private bathroom, fully equipped private kitchen, and a private terrace under a grapevine. Everything was spotless clean and every room has airconditioning. There are donkeys, sheep, and chickens in the garden. This gem is located a couple of minutes from the highway so it is an ideal base to discover Istria. You will not hear traffic. You will only hear the birds. If you want to stay in a quiet place to unwind or when exploring Istria, away from the busy shoreline, but close to everything, I highly recommend the place. I will definitely book this apartment again when I get back to Istria.
