Really fun quick and easy Via Ferata with lovely views of Split and surrounding areas! I took public transport from Split and hike up was tough enough and fairly overgrown, hike down is steep also so careful of ankles, I just did in runners and maybe some boots with ankle support would be better. Nice bench’s to sit on before the route and up at the old church for some snacks and refreshments.

Me and my partner saw a 1 meter long snake, firstly we were worried, but after doing reserch we undrestood it's unharmfull local lizard witch looks exactly like a snake. Animal name is "Blavor". Attaching photo of the animal from wikipedia. (We didn't shoot one ourself)

I think it's worth mentioning that the ferata or climbing route branches off from the trecking route at this point in the map. The trecking route requires no specialised equipment (although I would recommend boots, sun hat or equivalent protection, and sufficient water for the weather). As regards the trecking route: there are probably around 5 steps on the ascent where handholds were needed, and more in the descent, with some very modest exposure, but the vast majority of the route is simply walking. The track is marked out by symbols painted onto the rock but hard to discern in some places, particularly on the plateau. It's a strenuous, in parts steep, but fairly short route, with good views as you ascend. The hardest technical part is navigating to the start of the route through narrow residential streets with no demarcation for pedestrians, (at least the drivers here are chilled.). Watch out for loose rubble, vipers (yes vipers!) and thorns underfoot. Difficult conditions for the first fifty metres on the plateau deeply scored with limestone ribs and no clear path (follow the paint marks).

Via ferrata Perunika je odlična kratka ferrata srednje težine. Prikladna je za početnike. Uglavnom su djelovi A/B težine uz jedan kratki element koji bi de mogao okarakterizirati kao C težina. Vidici su predivni. Prođe se za 20-30 minuta.

VF Perunika je vrhunski i atraktivno postavljena, elementi su tehnički izvrsni i pravo je zadovoljstvo proći tom stazom. Sve pohvale postavljačima i održavaocima.
