About the Česma Fountain

Throughout history, the Česma Fountain has served as a central gathering place for the local community. It holds special significance as the source of inspiration for Milan Begović, a celebrated Croatian writer who composed the libretto for "Ero the Joker," one of Croatia's most beloved operas. In honor of his contributions, a monument dedicated to Begović can be found near the fountain, further enriching the site's cultural importance.
