Went there on a cloudy day and it was the perfect past time activity, especially if you're into design. The museum has two floors with a glass-making workshop on the upper one (that is only open on certain days though, do you might want to check when). It gives a lot of history about glass making and the usage of different items, their origins and practices during Roman times, trade routes and production of glass.

We liked the museum. Recommended for visiting. Reasonable price (6 EUR, Summer 2025). As we understand, there are also temporary exhibitions, we were lucky to enjoy Momento Mori exhibition.

Giornata nuvolosa dedicata alla cultura. Benche entrambi i musei siano interessanti questo lo abbiamo gradito di piu. L'esposizione e impeccabile, ma forse la scarsita di altri visitatori ci ha permesso di approfondire certe tematiche chiacchierando sia con la signora alla biglietteria e sopratutto con il maestro vetraio, disponibilissimi e prodighi di nozioni. Perche guardare la presentazione di come nasce un ampolla, ma scendere nei "misteri" del'arte vetraia scambiandoci il nostro poco sapere al suo tanto sapere in un amabile chiacchierata...

The museum is a big disappointment as there are repetite glass items and no history or storytelling for the local craftmanship behind. All two floors are absolutely similar and you cannot gain any other perspective on this material locally out of its tomb usage. The cutest thing is the wall drawing between the floors. I'm quite dissapointed!

Az épület kétszintes-lift van. A forró nyárban jólesett a klimatizált épület :-) Maga a kiállítás, az ókori üvegkészítők tudása és munkáik finomsága meglepő és elképesztő. Az üvegfúvó bemutatója volt a hab a tortán :-) Megnéztük a Memento Mori kiállítást is- ez utóbbi az ókori népek temetkezési szokásait mutatta be sírleletek alapján. Köszönjük a kiállítók munkáját; ajánlott program Zadarban !

Il prezzo d’ingresso sono 6€, secondo me mancavano delle descrizioni o spiegazioni dettagliate dei diversi reperti. Vi era però,all’ultimo piano la dimostrazione di come vengono create diverse creazioni in vetro (circa ogni mezz’ora tra le 9 e le 14 nei giorni feriali)

6 euro sono onesti per anche lo spettacolo live sulla creazione di un pezzo in vetro soffiato. Per il resto però non é nulla di speciale

Remarkable amount of glass and artifacts from the 2nd and 3rd centuries. It’s really an incredible exhibit. Plus a nice air conditioned space in the 90 degree heat.

Unfortunately, there are no explanations or audio and the exhibits are quite monotonous and repetitive.

Odlično postavljena aktualna razstava Memento mori. Bogata zbirka steklenih posod, vendar bi brez aktualne razstave pogrešala bistvene informacije za to, da zbirko postaviš v nek krajevni in fukncionalno okvir. Stalna razstava bi potrebovala kak dodatni informacijski pano. Nikjer tudi ni bilo objavljeno, da delavnic oblikovanja stekla ni, kar je kar grdo, saj cena vstopnice ostane enaka. Ker smo tukaj dlje časa, so nam ponudili še en brezplačen obisk, kar je super, a za nekoga, ki pride na obisk za dan ali dva to igra veliki vlogo in bi lahko to objavili tako na spletni strani kot na vhodu v muzej - predvsem bi morali znižati ceno vstopnic v takem primeru!

A great museum - so interesting, and not just for the amazing glass on display. Incredible how fresh and modern some of it looks, while other objects are so fine it's a miracle they have survived 2,000 years in some cases. The gallery on the necropolis is fantastic - so much information and detail on Roman burial practices and life styles. Glass-blowing wasn't taking place on Sunday when we visited, but great videos showing it, and you can see many of the tools used very clearly. The building is a beautiful setting, and the selection of products in the shop is also good - including perfect recreations of some of the objects on display, at reasonable prices considering they are individually hand-made.
