Onze beleving kwam niet geheel overeen met de lovende reviews van deze accomodatie. Hoewel de locatie en tuin mooi zijn, voelden we ons niet super welkom. Hoewel de kamer prima in orde was, waren er een aantal kleine dingen in de gastvrijheid die ontbraken. Daarnaast hebben we beide nachten slecht geslapen, vanwege alle muggen in onze kamer, die we niet buiten konden houden als we ook frisse lucht wilden. Het leek de host daarbij niet heel erg uit te maken hoe onze ervaring was. Al met al heeft dit verblijf wel degelijk potentie, maar wellicht troffen we het niet op het juiste moment aan.

Nous avons séjourné dans la grange, un hébergement atypique des plus reposants ! Nous avons adoré nos voisins les ânes, le jardin avec la piscine et notre hôte était exceptionnelle. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Casa matiki is echt een aanrader wij vebleven 3 nachten in de schuur bij de ezels. De natuur,de buitenkeuken,de ezels alles is back to basic and i love it ! Sonja is een heel vriendelijke persoon zeker een aanrader als je naar istrië komt !

Amazing and cosy stay in the rural and quiet domain of Sonja in central Istria. Ideal spot to visit the most places (Rovinj, Pula and Porec). Sonja gave a lot of interesting local tips to eat and visit touristic attractions. Swimming pool is a big plus. We also liked the pancakes and the nice souvenir. Definitely going back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sonjas place! She does everything to make you feel welcome, including hints for where to visit and in our kitchen there was even olive oil made from the 70 olive trees in the garden. The place is spacious and includes many nice places to spend time, everything very well kept and spotlessly clean.

We drove up the parking and had an immediate warm welcome from Sonja. Due to a cancellation, the hostess offered us a free upgrade of our room, what a nice suprise! The location is very idyllic: a large garden with animals, two very sweet dogs, a refreshing and clean swimming pool, old olive trees and cosy decorations and furniture made our (short) stay very worth the travel time. Ideal for families our couples who like the 'vintage' and calm way of travelling. |Sonja is the ideal guide too give you all the information and help you need.|Definitely a recommendation!

Samen met mijn gezin met 2 kinderen heb ik een fantastisch verblijf gehad. Allereerst de host, Sonja Glavic, zij is een enorm hartelijke lieve vrouw. Het voelde echt alsof je bij oma op visite kwam. Je voelt dat ze alles met liefde doet. De zelfgemaakte marmelade, verse koffie, heerlijke crepes en eieren van eigen kippen en een gezellig gedekte tafel bij het ontbijt.||Sonja wist ook veel over de omgeving en gaf ons veel leuke tips. Zo zijn we ondermeer naar een lokale markt geweest.||Ook mijn kinderen liepen met haar weg. Iedere ochtend wilden ze snel bij Sonja en haar honden langs. Samen met haar hebben ze eieren gehaald bij de kippen en hielpen ze met de was ophangen. Het hoogtepunt was het voeren van de ezels.||Dan de locatie, het ziet er prachtig en idyllisch uit. Het terrein staat vol met prachtige bloemen en olijfbomen. Ook de aankleding is met zorg gedaan. Zo is er een levensgroot schaakbord en leuke details als een oude waterpomp, gietertjes, kneuterige ornamenten, welke helemaal in de landelijke sfeer passen. De verblijven voor de gasten zijn heel gezellig, eenvoudig, maar knus ingericht. Wij hadden zelf de Pergola, eengezinswoning. Erg gezellige zoals het hele terrein aanvoelt. ||Verder zijn er voldoende faciliteiten, zoals een prachtig zwembad met voldoende ligbedden. Een klimtoren en veel zitjes waar je gezellig kunt zitten over het hele terrein.||De ligging is overigens heel centraal in Istrie waardoor we een groot deel van de omgeving hebben kunnen ontdekken zonder ver te hoeven reizen (max 45 min)||Al bij al een fantastisch verblijf en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Wat een magische plek! La Casa di Matiki voelt als thuiskomen. Vanaf het eerste moment werden we ontzettend hartelijk ontvangen door Sonja, de eigenaresse. Ze is een echte lieverd – het voelde bijna alsof we bij onze eigen oma op bezoek waren. Zo warm, zorgzaam en betrokken!||De accommodatie zelf is prachtig gelegen in het groene hart van Istrië. Alles straalt rust en charme uit. Het zwembad is heerlijk en perfect om even af te koelen na een dagje op pad. Sonja kent bovendien alle mooie plekjes in de buurt en gaf ons geweldige tips voor lokale restaurants en bezienswaardigheden. Dankzij haar ontdekten we verborgen pareltjes die je anders nooit zou vinden.||La Casa di Matiki is geen standaard verblijf – het is een ervaring. Een plek waar je je echt welkom voelt en waar je met een warm gevoel weer vertrekt. Wij komen hier zeker terug!

Wat een fantastische B&B. Oorspronkelijk zouden wij er alleen de eerste 2 nachten van onze rondreis door Kroatië verblijven. Maar eenmaal aangekomen in Split (onze laatste locatie) miste wij de gastvrijheid van Sonja en haar heerlijke B&B. Hierom zijn wij de laatste 3 nachten van onze trip terug gereisd naar Sonja. De b&b heeft een prachtige tuin met een heerlijk zwembad met genoeg lig- en zitplekken. Waar je volledig tot rust kan komen.Vanuit haar B&B ben je binnen een half uur bij alle bekende plaatsen van Istrië(Pula, Rovinj, etc). Sonja weet ook super veel leuke plekjes, adresjes voor van alles in de omgeving. Super fijne host en alles is schoon.

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad! Eigenaresse Sonja zorgde iedere dag voor een warm welkom, samen met haar honden en kippen ♡ |Er is ook volop aan kinderen gedacht. Zo hebben onze kinderen samen met Sonja eieren bij de kippen gehaald, we kregen oud brood om aan haar ezels te geven, we konden de plantjes water geven met 1 van de vele gieters, er is een groot dam- en schaakspel, enz enz. Het appartement was keurig onderhouden en schoon. Het zwembad was perfect qua grootte en heerlijk relaxed met alle ligbedden eromheen. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad! Dankjewel Sonja voor alle goede zorgen!

Man kommt als Gast und geht als Freund. So kann man kurz und knapp das Erlebnis "Casa Matiki", bei der wundervollen Gastgeberin Sonja, beschreiben. Das Anwesen ist in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand und alles mit viel Liebe und Herzblut von Sonja gestaltet, man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an einfach wohl. Durch ihre aufgeschlossene und liebevolle Fürsorge ist Sonja das Herz des ganzen und sie kümmert sich liebevoll um jeden einzelnen Gast. Auch findet man in der Gehend ganz wunderbare Restaurants die autentische istrische Küche anbieten. Im Herzen von Istrien gelegen, ist "Casa Matiki" der perfekt Ausgangpunkt um die Gegend zu erkunden, egal wohin, der Weg ist nie weit. Leider hatten wir nur Zeit für eine kurze Auszeit von vier Nächten aber wir werden auf alle Fälle nochmal kommen und dann für mindestens eine Woche bleiben! Es ist ein kleines Paradies ❤️

Un véritable havre de paix, plus que parfait pour se ressourcer en toute tranquillité.|Avec ma conjointe, nous avons opté pour la grange aménagée avec les 4 ânes pour colocataires. We stayed in Matiki at the barn for 3 nights, and we’re absolutely coming back!|Sonja is the kindest and most interesting host we’ve ever met.|The barn room is located near her beautiful Istrian estate, which features a stunning pool, peaceful surroundings inlcluding an olive garden, a huge wooden sunset lookout, a bed swing, 2 happy dogs, a cuddly cat, and some chickens.|In the barn, there are 4 wonderful donkeys that made us fall in love with the farm.|The breakfast she offers (optionally) is entirely homemade, and every detail inside and outside the house is cared for with so much love.|Žminj village is just 20 minutes by car from the sea, and a great base for exploring Istria.|We also had amazing Istrian dinners just 8 minutes away, next to the medieval castle in Svetvinčenat.|If you’re done with city life & wish only to relax, this is your dream come true!

Casa Matiki is a perfect place to perform a detox from electricity and city life. With an amazing host that is so kind and sweet, There are multiple choices and apartments to choose from. My girlfriend and I chose an apsrtment that is electricity free and comes with 4 pet donkeys! There is a main resort that is filled with beautiful flowers, olive trees and various decorations. Also there are chixkens, dogs and a cute cuddly cat. You can see there was a lot of effort and thought put into everything! There is a big pool to relax to, alot of chairs and a beautifully built 3 story wooden observstory. Stayed here for 3 nights and time went so fast. Also its in the middle of Istria so its a good base to explore various other cities (Labin, Pazin, Svetvincenst) and many others. Would definetly reccomend!

Our stay at Casa Matiki has been wonderful! We chose this place because we were looking for a unique, peaceful place to rest and recharge. |The authentic buildings on the property are perfectly situated on the property. The gardens with lavender, olive trees and beautiful flowers are a joy to explore. To top it off, there used to be a wonderful swimming pool!|The location is central to Rovinj, Pula the hill towns, all within an easy 30 minute drive. |But what really makes this place special is the Hostess, Sonja. Her passion for the property and the care of her guests is second to none! She is so friendly and loves to visit and get to know her guests. She is here to make your stay a special memorable experience. She loves to share her insider tips for local restaurants and places to see. |This is a great place that you would feel good about recommending to friends and family for their Croatia vacation!

I have been in Casa Matiki several times and I am amazed every single time. Sonja (the owner) is great, very kind and serves the best local breakfast you could ask for. She is always happy to chat with her guests. The place is amazing, very idyllic. From lavander, to olive trees, all kinds of flowers and even their own chickens. My kids love it! Great apartments, the whole place is very friendly for families but would even love to come alone as well to read a book and enjoy the pool. It really is heaven on earth. I highly recommend it ☺️

I was hoping to find a place like this for our trip - and I truly did! From the moment you arrive, you feel completely welcome and at ease and peace. U Casa Matiki proveli smo tri nezaboravna dana. To je prekrasno imanje, uređeno sa puno ljubavi i pažnje, u pravom autohtonom istarskom stilu, okruženo pitomom prirodom, maslinama i domaćim životinjama, a gostima je na raspolaganju i prostrani bazen sa udobnim ležaljkama i suncobranima, uz pregršt hlada. Objekti su uređeni s posebnom pažnjom i ukusom, sve od prirodnih materijala i sa svim potrebnim sadžajima te pružaju mir i intimu. Lokacija objekta je u središtu Istre, idealna za istraživanje ostatka poluotoka. Gđa Sonja pružila nam je jedinstveno iskustvo, pripremivši nam ukusan dorućak od domaćih , lokalnih i svježih namirnica te je kao pravi profesionalni domaćin uvijek bila na raspolaganju. Hvala joj na tome, vratiti ćemo se opet!

We really loved our stay at Casa Matiki. |Sonja is a kind and welcoming host who truly cares about making everyone feel at home. The whole apartment complex was created with so much love for detail - which is why we spent a lot of time at the pool area. We loved to swim, relax and recharge our batteries surrounded by beautiful nature. |Parking is possible on the property, supermarkets and restaurants are only a few minutes away.|We stayed at 'The Barn Experience‘ which was an amazing chance to detox from technology, electricity and noise pollution. Surrounded by trees, birds and Sonja’s four adorable donkeys we did have an unforgettable vacation.|Therefore we heartily recommend Casa Matiki to everyone who is looking for a special vacation.

We stayed here in a lovely apartment, for only 2 nights but wish it was longer.|The apartment had everything we needed, a very comfortable bed, small kitchen area and lovely patio, great for outside eating and relaxing.|The apartments are set in beautiful grounds with olive and fig trees and a sense of peace all around. Chickens roam free and will occasionall emerge from the bushes and two friendly dogs will greet you. There is a wonderful pool, newly refurbished with a waterfall feature, surrounded by grass and plenty of space for loungers, a great place to relax |Casa Matiki is in a great spot, many of the places you would want to visit are only 20-30 minutes away, yet you are surrounded by peaceful countryside. |Sonja was a wonderful host, welcoming, helpful and generous, with lots of local knowledge and tips. She kindly booked us a restaurant when we arrived, which was excellent and provided fresh eggs for breakfast. We would love to return

Auf dieser Halbinsel voller Wunder strahlt im Landesinneren eine besonders kostbare Perle. Ein uriges Hideaway, einer ganzen Entdeckungsreise würdig. Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Verwelen, ideal um zur Ruhe uz kommen. Hier offenbaren sich die Pracht der Natur und auch die wunderbare Herzlichkeit der Gastgeberin und das alles in jedem, kleinsten Detail.||Sonja ist nicht nur eine Gastgeberin, eher eine Zauberin im Paradies, die Erfinderin einer ganzen Welt für sich. Eine Frau mit Charisma, die jedem mit Wertschätzung und Vertrauen begegnet, eine Dame mit unerschöpflichem Engagement und Energie, mit Intuition und Herzensgüte, Empathie und Liebe.||Es ist vor allem die Art und Weise, wie sich hier die volle Pracht offenbart… das ‚WIE‘ ganz groß geschrieben…. ||Man begibt sich auf eine sinnliche Zeitreise mitten im Luxus des Einfachen, des besonders Kostbaren. Hier herrscht das Unkomplizierte, das Urgemütliche. |Alles ist liebenswürdig und persönlich an diesem Ort zum Glücklichsein - einer von diesen, ganz seltenen Plätzen, von denen man gefunden wird, ja sogar gefunden werden muss. ||Es muss nicht alles perfekt sein, man kann es auch nicht bescheiden nennen, allerdings außergewöhnlich und einzigartig mit viel Charakter und Charme. Aus dem Staunen kommt man hier beim besten Willen nicht heraus und wird immer wieder von Neuem überrascht.||Hier kann man durchatmen, sich fallenlassen, gemütlich verweilen im Heimatgefühl. Und, dieser kostbarer Ort wurde zu meiner Lieblingsadresse. Hier lässt man sich Zeit, oder vergisst diese komplett, lässt sich einfach treiben. Perfekt ❤️ Wundervoll harmonisch liebevoll gestalteter Ort zum Entspannen und Verweilen. Wir geniessen die Zeit hier immer wieder sehr… Die Zimmer sind einfach gestaltet, es gibt aber alles was man braucht. Sonja ist eine sehr herzliche liebevolle Gastgeberin und sehr bedacht darauf dass sich ihre Gäste wohlfühlen. Leider gibt es Bewertungen von Menschen, die Natur und Luxus im Einfachen mit einem 5Sterne Resort verwechseln… Casa Matiki ist um ein Vielfaches schöner wie jedes Luxushotel und lässt den Alltagsstress vergessen… danke das wir hier sein dürfen.

Cercavamo un posto che potesse conciliare la voglia di mare all’ idea di esplorare l’ entroterra istriano e abbiamo alloggiato in questo luogo meraviglioso dalla posizione strategica .|Un posto perfetto con un sapore antico ma senza dover rinunciare ai comfort ed alla comodità dei tempi moderni . La padrona di casa , signora gentilissima e molto ospitale , ti accoglie a “ casa sua” facendoti ,respirare l’amore che lei ha per quel posto , facendoti sentire a casa e allo stesso tempo in un oasi di pace immersa nella natura.|Il posto perfetto per chi vuol scappare e trascorrere meravigliose giornate all aperto , rinfrescandosi anche nella piscina messa a disposizione per gli ospiti e godendo di privacy e tranquillità’ più assolute, un posto dove godersi una serata davanti al fuoco e non con un telecomando o un cellulare in mano. Un posto dove la mattina assaporerai le uova delle galline allevate sul posto .|Sconsigliato a chi cerca caos , modernità e frenesia .
