Nearly all teachers are native English speakers, contributing to a strong language-learning experience. The administration is open to dialogue and willing to address concerns to some extent. The IB program is the gold standard in global education, fostering critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a well-rounded, internationally minded perspective. The school takes a commendable and thoughtfully designed approach to field trips and excursions, often emphasizing nature, ecology, and humanitarian values. It also collaborates with other schools to host regional and international competitions, though expanding these opportunities would further enrich students’ academic and extracurricular experiences. The school effectively nurtures students’ language proficiency, social skills, and self-confidence. Compared to Croatian public schools, student-teacher relationships are notably stronger. A select group of teachers (10-20%) meet the highest global teaching standards. Areas for Improvement: The school does not place a strong emphasis on academic excellence. Preparation for university—especially for top-tier institutions—is insufficient, and IB exam results are average compared to global benchmarks. Most teachers lack the expertise to properly prepare students for IB exams at a level that enables them to achieve top-tier results, comparable to those of leading IB schools in developed countries. College admissions support starts too late to be truly effective. More resources are directed toward external appearance—such as school facilities and landscaping—than toward academic quality and student outcomes. While the school has well-equipped STEM labs, a shortage of qualified STEM faculty limits the program’s effectiveness. As a result, students aiming for rigorous STEM pathways may find better options elsewhere. Recommendations: To strengthen its position as a leading IB institution, the school should prioritize academic rigor, particularly in university preparation and IB performance. A greater investment in faculty development, particularly in STEM, would enhance learning outcomes. Finally, a stronger focus on substance over aesthetics would better align with the school’s mission of academic excellence. Conclusion: Arguably the best international English-language school in Croatia, but significantly behind top counterparts in Budapest, Warsaw, Zurich, Berlin, Madrid, and Paris. Ideal for students seeking an international, Anglo-Saxon learning environment, especially those with strengths in languages and social sciences. Not recommended for STEM-focused students or those aiming for elite universities without substantial extracurricular preparation. If enrolling, be prepared to supplement STEM education independently.

Nice building, mediocre teachers and care. Would not recomend for high scjool, especially for the ib programme, as teachers are not able to bring kids to high level of knowlegde.
