Absolutely awful experience. Most the people at this hostel live here permanently, and their belongings take up the entire room. The guy has a whole computer setup with two screens, and was up until 6am working. I requested a lower bunk but was still given a top. The woman below me must be at least 80. She kept turning the room light on at all hours, and making loud noises constantly. There are two bathrooms for all the guests, and they are always occupied with a queue. There must be at least 30 people packed into this small apartment. There is no space and no privacy. The smokers on the balcony let all the smoke flow into the kitchen, which is already overcrowded and gross. The kitchen sink was covered with a “don’t use” sign. There is a big dog that blocks the narrow hallways and smells disgusting. The staff member (man) was so rude and unfriendly every time he spoke to me. Payment was cash only even though everywhere else in Belgrade accepts card. Honestly my worst ever hostel experience. Please don’t stay here.

Location prone to civil unrest and transit blockade. Hostel was completely unaccommodating and tried to charge me extra because I couldn't get there in time due to public transit being suspended. This is shady and unprofessional business, and ignored my proactive communications about issues encountered. Please DO NOT book here.

If there is more than 5 stars I will add it easily, I like the team, their support and welcoming, as well as their guide and encouragement to make a plan for the day. They even recommend bus lines for each plan I will stay their again if I came back to Belgrade for sure

Odsela sam u hostelu Habitat i bila sam veoma zadovoljna! Ovde apsolutno nema diskriminacije — osoblje se prema svima odnosi s poštovanjem, bez obzira na rasu, nacionalnost ili LGBTQ+ identitet. Atmosfera je vrlo prijateljska i bezbedna. Tim je kao prava međunarodna porodica: govore srpski, ruski i engleski, i uvek su spremni da pomognu i pruže podršku. Osećala se topla i gostoljubiva atmosfera. Preporučujem svima koji traže tolerantno i prijatno mesto u Srbiji I stayed at Habitat Hostel and was very satisfied! There is absolutely no discrimination here — the staff treats everyone with respect, regardless of race, nationality, or LGBTQ+ identity. The atmosphere is very friendly and safe. The team feels like a true international family: they speak Serbian, Russian, and English, and are always ready to help and support. There was a warm and welcoming vibe throughout. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tolerant and cozy place in Serbia. Я останавливалась в хостеле Habitat и осталась очень довольна! Здесь абсолютно нет дискриминации — персонал относится с уважением ко всем, вне зависимости от расы, национальности или ЛГБТ+идентичности. Атмосфера очень дружелюбная и безопасная. Команда — это настоящая интернациональная семья: говорят на сербском, русском и английском, всегда готовы помочь и поддержать. Чувствовалась теплая, гостеприимная обстановка. Рекомендую всем, кто ищет толерантное и уютное место в Сербии

Super convenient spot with an amazing location — everything was walkable. Staff were really helpful and friendly, and the facilities were clean and cozy. But the real star? The dog. Always waiting at the door to say hi. Made it feel like home.

I had the most amazing stay at this hostel - it truly felt like a home.The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and the staff and guests were incredibly friendly and kind. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. From the cozy rooms to the shared spaces, everything was perfect. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a truly special vibe. 10/10!! 🙏
