Staying at this hostel was truly a dream, I met so many interesting and unique people that I have kept in contact with since leaving, and the hostel itself was beautiful and had the perfect ocean swimming amenities to perfectly round out your experience of the Adriatic Sea, not to mention an extremely reasonable price point for such a positive experience. I couldn’t recommend this hostel enough!

While far from the city center, the bus ride is easy to take and the waterside view is beautiful and much better than the beaches in Split. The beaches are secluded and not at all crowded with clear, clean water. Another perk includes the materials provided (snorkel, paddle boards). Also the workers were very friendly, nice and helpful. However, the cleanliness throughout the hostile was lacking. The kitchen was always busy and very hard to use with the amount of guests staying there and the dishes were overflowing. The showers made you feel grosser than you were before you showered and they clogged the entire time you showered so you were standing in high water and the shower head was unstable and kept falling on our heads. The overall atmosphere of people were extremely quirky and we found them to be pretentious and rude although we might have gotten unlucky with the batch of people. Depending on the kind of hostile guest you are maybe they are your type of people but we felt very uncomfortable and isolated. While the hostel is located 40 minutes outside the city center, it’s easily accessible by bus, and the scenic waterside setting is beautiful and offers better beaches than in Split. The nearby beaches are quiet, uncrowded, and feature clear, clean water. Guests also benefit from complimentary equipment such as snorkels and paddle boards, which add a nice touch to the overall experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. However, there were some areas that could use improvement. The shared facilities, particularly the kitchen and bathrooms, were often overcrowded and not as clean as expected. The kitchen was frequently in use, making it difficult to cook or find clean dishes. The showers, unfortunately, had issues with drainage and unstable fixtures, which detracted from the comfort of our stay. The social atmosphere may appeal to some, but we personally found it challenging to connect with other guests. The group during our visit leaned more toward a niche, eccentric vibe, which may suit certain travelers better than others. While this could simply be a matter of timing or personal preference, we did feel somewhat out of place and isolated. Overall, part of the location and staff are highlights, but the hostel may be better suited to guests seeking a more unconventional or communal travel experience.

Nous avions réservé une chambre privée dans cet hostel, mais malheureusement notre séjour n’a pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes. La chambre ne correspondait pas aux photos présentées lors de la réservation : elle était très minimaliste, sans bureau, chaise, ni table de nuit. Les lits étaient deux simples couchages en fer jaune, avec deux matelas différents – dont l’un à ressorts était vraiment inconfortable. Cela donnait une ambiance assez vintage, voire un peu froide, qui ne correspondait pas à ce que nous avions imaginé pour une chambre privée. Il n’y avait pas de couette ni de volets, et l’éclairage se limitait à une unique lumière blanche très forte au plafond. La chambre manquait clairement d’équipements de base pour poser ses affaires ou se sentir un minimum à l’aise. En revanche, la salle de bain était spacieuse, propre et entièrement privative, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Le bâtiment dans lequel se trouvait notre chambre avait une odeur d’humidité persistante, ce qui était un peu désagréable. De plus, les espaces communs (salon, cuisine, accès à la mer) se trouvent dans un autre bâtiment, de l’autre côté d’une route passante, avec un virage, ce qui peut rendre les allers-retours peu pratiques, voire un peu dangereux à pied. Il faut noter que l’accès direct à la mer est un plus sur le papier, mais que nous ne l’avons pas utilisé, car il y a beaucoup à faire à Split et dans les alentours. Cet avantage reste donc assez relatif si l’on passe peu de temps sur place. Enfin, l’accueil a été très chaleureux, la personne présente sur place était vraiment gentille et disponible, ce que nous avons sincèrement apprécié. En résumé, l’expérience aurait pu être meilleure avec quelques petits ajustements sur l’équipement et une communication plus fidèle à la réalité. C’est un hostel, donc on comprend que le confort est plus simple, mais une chambre privée mérite quand même un minimum de cohérence avec ce qui est présenté.
