Convenient Transport Information
Getting to our hostel is straightforward:
- From the main station: Take bus 5A or 8A to Brodarica.
- From the airport: Catch the Zadar airport bus to Old Town, then take a 1.2 euro rowboat taxi across the harbor.
If arriving outside of rowboat taxi hours, opt for an Uber from the main station.
Reception and Quiet Hours
Our reception is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with late self-check-in available upon advance notice. Please note our quiet hours are strictly enforced from 11:00 PM, and kitchen access is limited to 10:00 PM.
We uphold a smoke-free environment under roofs; violations may lead to fines or dismissal.

For such an expensive hostel, I really think they lack in some areas. If it were less expensive it’d be completely fine, but asking such a high price, I would expect their bathrooms to be better (the shower curtain / door they have is really unhandy, and the mat gets completely soaked). No curtains around the beds, and the bed lights are bright enough for the whole room so kinda defeats the point. The temperature in the bedroom is nice though, smells okay enough, beds comfy if not a bit dented, very very nice terrace, and it’s great that you can hang your things out to dry. Quiet, but enough opportunities to socialise if you want. The terrace really increases my rating

Sehr nettes hostel, schöne outdoor Gemeinschaftsräume und weitgehend sauber. Auch im 10er Zimmer war es nachts Dank der Klimaanlage nie zu heiß. Einziger Nachteil ist die Lage, badegelegenheiten sind zwar schnell erreichbar jedoch zum Zentrum und busbahnhof sind es gute 30 min zu Fuß. Dafür mit dem uber unter 10 Minuten und günstig.

Really nice hostel! Amazing outside areas and staff. A little far from city center (which I enjoyed), but lots of grocery stores. No curtains for the beds, but the rooms are super clean and comfy.

I came here twice, and I really liked it. Guests are very nice, good atmosphere. Kitchen is in the open air. Simple rooms and bathrooms but functional. A bit far from the center yet.

really rude staff is my main qualm felt unwelcome and disliked for existing there and as if i could not ask for any help without getting my head snapped off i don’t expect perfect service but some level of human decency is normally expected decent beds, make sure you look at location properly on map, kitchen too small for size of hostel and bathroom locks didn’t work

All fine, but walking city centre around 20min in hot I found quite far.
Really helped my little brother out in a very difficult situation. The hosts were very kind and made me feel so much better knowing he was in there under their supervision! |My brother also said the place is lovely, really enjoying all the different walks of life staying in a hostel. Great facilities.

Joli, cosy et propre hostel avec une chouette atmosphère : beaucoup de banquettes avec coussins pour se poser tranquillement partout dans la très jolie cour, ce qui est propice aux rencontres et aux discussions (attention, parfois tard 😜), une cuisine partagée et un petit magasin à côté permet de se faire à manger pas cher, en plus des choses gratuites (laissées par d'anciens guests)

I stayed in Backpackers Home for a couple of days as i had to leave another hostel (long story haha) it was a spontaneous thing but i really liked staying there, the ambience was really nice and the kitchen was clean and loved the idea of an open kitchen! Definitely recommend!
