The castle felt very renovated and lacking a historical back story. I would have liked to hear more about the the castle through the centuries/decades. The puppet museum was a treat and the view from the bell tower over the city was stunning. The funicular ride in a lovely modern lift was good fun and the cafe served really nice coffee.

Small castle on the top of a hill near Central Ljubljana. Was small and a little pricey. There was a nice park on the grounds with some great veiws of Ljubljana

Very well keep castle with many things to do. Great museums, the poppet museum was a great surprise and you can cool down in one of the restaurants, the views from the highest tower are breath taking.
