Svratili smo na kratku pauzu u Escuinu i probali Diavolo pinsu i plazma cake, oboje skroz ok! Mesto je totalno dobra opcija za brz zalogaj i nesto slatko.

The atmosphere is starting to get ruined and most of the staff is incredibly rude. Details--->>> I usually recommend this cafe to all my friends, I've taken every single friend here for a cup of coffee since one thing you can't deny, it's that their coffee is some of the best in town! I've been coming here for over 4 years, so I can confirm my experiences over the years. Here's where the issue lies. Again, incredible coffee and the food/desserts are really good too (not my absolute favourite, but you'll surely enjoy them quite a lot). There's one specific waiter (a young man) that is so sweet and polite, he's a delightful person and very quick with his job, but he's the only exception. The other male waiters are alright, not too polite but not rude either. They have one female waiter (I come here so often, that I'm certain they have only one fem. waiter) and she is just unnecessarily rude with customers. I try and go out of my way to be nice with her, but she speaks with customers as if she hates the fact she has to be there, slamming down the coffee cups and water glasses very loudly, being annoyed and obnoxious if you ask her to bring something again - I once came with my friend group and we all asked for new waters (which is like, nothing special? We just asked for water?) and she gave us a facial expression as if we offended her personally and walked away in a huff. It took another 15mins for her to come with the water. I even try and be extra nice, since I know it's not easy being a waiter, by coming to her to order so she doesn't have to walk over. Every time she is just as rude and from now on, if she's working, I won't be coming to the cafe, just like my friends don't want to tolerate that anymore. If this continues, I might have to boycott the spot, because this worker tries and makes you feel like you're being "annoying" by sitting down as a customer. I don't know what to say. It was quite good for the first half of our evening and much much worse during the second half. For the beginning, there is quite good cappuccino and krempita. Cafe is nicely decorated and of good quality overall. But for the strange things. You know, I live in Bg for 5+ years, and I always was astonished by heartwarming and nice reception. We ordered two cakes and two coffees and after this I politely asked to bring a pot of tea (0.4 liter) and two cups. I was told that this is against the policy of the cafe to serve 1 teapot (0.4 liter) and 2 cups for 2 people. I found out that it is against the rules and that I need to order 2 teapots. When I asked 'but why?' I was told that such is the policy for all of Belgrade's caffees. I was simply laughing because... you know from Skadarlija to Avala you find a 100s of caffees and restaurants where you can ask for a teapot and 2 cups. I understand caffee may have it's own interests, but it would be good to have this rule marked in the menu somewhere. I am most grateful to the cafe manager who intervened and stood by my side. It's not like we are occupying the table for nothing, we came, sat and made our order. Next moment, when I was paying, I said sorry to the cafe workers (I don't think this is some kind of their fault, just fault of the menu and the cafe itself), I was told that it's impossible and that «is like asking for 1 burger and 2 plates». Dear guys and gals, I can find 10s of restaurants near Kalenić where I will be gladly offered a burger and two forks, two knives and two plates. Fancy or not fancy. I understand you may work in «tourist mode», but for someone who lives here for 5+ years, this is... suluda and šašavko, you know. Cakes were good. Money grabbing was not. Two persons may drink a teapot together. That's all, probably. If you will find someone who can drink 0.8 liters of tea after the two coffees, please let me know. It must be a quite interesting person with quite a stomach. Write this rule down explicitly in the menu (dear guests, you cannot share your food, it's forbidden!) and you will be OK.
