We recently booked a private Day Skipper and Competent Crew course for our family, 2 adults and 2 children (age 13 and 15), and it exceeded every expectation. From the first email to the end of the course and beyond, Cristiano and Franco were so helpful. Our instructor Akos made us feel at ease — balancing professionalism with a warm, approachable style that worked brilliantly for both adults and younger sailors in our group. He adapted his teaching to suit everyone’s style of learning and get the best out of all of us. The course was tailored perfectly to our mixed experience levels: those taking the Day Skipper gained confidence in navigation, passage planning, and boat handling, while the Competent Crew members learned essential skills hands-on and some day skipper skills too! The boat was well-maintained, comfortable, and equipped for everything we needed. Safety was always a priority, but never at the expense of enjoyment. By the end of the week, we not only felt like a proper crew but had also created incredible family memories — from quiet sunsets at anchor to the thrill of helming under sail. We would recommend this course wholeheartedly to any family looking to learn together, gain real sailing confidence, and enjoy a unique bonding experience on the water

Eine fantastische Woche auf dem Meer! Obschon ich eine Anfängerin bin, habe ich mich mit Skipper Cristiano vom ersten Moment sicher gefühlt. Dank seiner ruhigen und freundlichen Führung hatten wir als Gruppe viel Spass und daneben haben wir auch viel gelernt. Wonderful and professional week on the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. During a wonderful week we traveled with a magnificent sailing ship and visited many islands in Croatia, starting from the port of Primosten and sailing for example to Prvic Luka or Zirje (eating at the excellent restaurant Konoba Stupica). The White Wake Sailing school is excellent, Cristiano is super professional and teaches many useful things in a serious and pleasant way, in a relaxed and very competent way. The boat is super fast, in addition to traveling calmly, you can, if you want, overtake all the other sailing ships, which for those who are a little competitive, can only add pleasure to an already very pleasant week. Thank you Cristiano for everything you taught us, and we will definitely see each other again very soon.

I had a fabulous week with the white wake sailing team. Christiano created a comfortable environment to teach in a positive way making us feel like a crew enjoying each others company whilst learning at the same time. We sailed into some truly beautiful marinas and anchorage’s, visiting fantastic restaurants. I completed the day skipper and radio license and left feeling that that was a memorable trip. I would certainly recommend White Wake as a great place to learn to sail !

Just back from six days studying Day Skipper Practical alongside three new friends taking Competent Crew. The week was just what I wanted and as described. Neda 1 is fast and responsive, the sailing area beautiful, anchorages varied and wind every day (with a F6 mid week, see video). Elisa is a very experienced sailor and instructor and kept us challenged and focused, building every day but with time to relax and reflect and switch around roles and duties for variety and experience. We all felt our skills progressing. Elisa's aim is to embed intuitive sailing beyond the basic requirements of the course and I believe she succeeded. I feel I gained real skills, experience and confidence to take charge of a boat and crew, not just a certificate. Thanks Elisa and crew Susan, Yi and Chantal. A great week.

Großartig, intensiv und absolut unvergesslich war die Woche auf dem Boot. Wir hatten neben dem TOP Boot, dem TOP Instructor auch noch bestes Segelwetter. Nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluss konnte ich zuhause nochmals die umfangreiche zusätzliche Erfahrung aus der Woche realisieren. Das war deutlich mehr als erwartet. Superb from start to finish!!! White Wake Sailing responded straight away to my enquiry about booking the Competent Crew course and were really helpful in answering all my queries. Also the level of pre-course information was really good and helpful (such as what to bring, what to expect), especially to me, a beginner! The Sailing Instructor Elisa was very experienced and knowledgeable about all things Sailing, including the ins and outs of how the engine system works, it's parts, spares, maintenance and all other systems on-board. She cared about us understanding how and why everything works below and above deck, which meant the training was thorough and built our confidence to know why things need to be done in a certain sequence to be effective. We learned and practised so much throughout the week. I have come away with confidence in my ability to be a useful crew member to the skippers in my sailing club back home, and I am excited to go sailing with them and continue to practise and hone my skills over the summer. I can't thank Elisa and White Wake Sailing enough. I sailed as a child with my Dad, but not since. I could have trained in the UK, but it was so nice to go to the beautiful Croatian coast, inlets and islands to train, and see such a beautiful country while doing so. It was also wonderful to train on such a high quality sailing boat. I am so thrilled to be sailing again, the feeling is fantastic ❣️ I would 100% recommend White Wake Sailing Croatia, and our Instructor Elisa, for RYA training - superb!!!

Wonderful experience with Eliza, Cristiano and the rest of crew. Islands of Croatia and Adriatic is like a ferry tail. Very satisfied with knowledge that I have received from White Wake Sailing and for sure will be back for my next certificate. Marina has very good facilities and restoran with affordable prices and nice food. Near by is a big supermarket. Old town Primosten is also close for a nigt walk and dinner. Relaxing atmosfer and intense experience that I will cherish.

My husband and I are both new to sailing. We did two RYA training courses for Competent crew and day skipper on Oct. 2024 and Apr. 2025 with white wake sailing school. Our instructors (Leonardo for Competent crew and Cristiano for day skipper) are very experienced. We learned a lot of theory and practical skills. We sailed for two weeks on two different vessels so it was very beneficial for us to learn a lot of different things. The training weeks were very intensive and not like a relaxing holiday. But it is very, very valuable if you want to gain some sailing experience with professional instructions. Of course, the training was not boring. During the sailing week, we had the opportunity to drive a sailboat and swim with dolphins in the sea. During the training, we also salvaged a lot of marine garbage, taking into account both training and environmental protection.

I did a training course in March 2025 with White Wake Sailing and took the final Yacht-master exam. I trained with Franco aboard his Salona 44 – it was an intense and highly rewarding experience. I brought home a lot of new knowledge, even though I’ve been sailing for many years before. Franco, besides being a very nice person, proved to be a highly skilled and capable instructor, and he prepared us thoroughly to face the Yacht master exam. Highly recommended experience!

Ho partecipato a marzo al corso Yacht Master svoltosi a Marina Kremik, partito timoroso per la mia preparazione maturata online e seguita al passo da uno spigoloso e puntiglioso Franco Delfabbro. Dal primo giorno di uscite si è rivelato una fonte di risorse tali da conquistarmi per la sua generosità. Provengo da un esperienza maturata sul campo:35 anni di search and rescue and fire nei VF. E DA 30 anni di regate in giro x il mondo ma ho imparato tanto da questo metodo. Chi ama il mare dovrebbe mettersi in discussione ed entrare nel metodo RYA e forse investire in questa scuola.Felice di aver partecipato, grazie Franco.
