We stayed here during a recent visit to Dubrovnik. It's a nice quiet hotel outside the city on one of the main bus routes into the old town (no 4 bus), making transport convenient and cost effective. Although the rooms weren't as elaborate as some hotels they were comfortable, had all the basics needed and had really nice balconys with gorgeous views, perfect for sitting out on in the morning or evening. The staff are were very attentive and happy to help. There is ample choice of good food in the restaurant and outdoor bar. The hotel opens out onto a small beach and swimming area with it's own little bar. The WiFi was excellent throughout the hotel and was free. One point I would make is that there is no lift so anyone with mobility impairments should book a ground floor room. I would happily stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

Felújításra szoruló szállás. Az ajtók, mint a kollégiumban. A központtól messze van egy picit. A kilátás szép volt. A reggeli választékos.

I really cannot understand what people complain about here. True the hotel is a bit aged, but matches the pictures. Only downsize of the room is that there are no power sockets by the bed, but there are 2 by the desk. it's spotelss clean and the bathroom is renovated. Breakfast is rich and various. Position is unmatchable, right facing the sunset and with a beach by the hotel - and for the Croatian standard not even that small and with ok access to the water. Nearby you have a supermarket, the bus stop to the center right outside the hotel and lots of at 10 min wolking. We were super happy and can only recommend, to be able to bath early in the morning or late evening just outside your room with that sunset is a luxury that not even most of the 4-5 stars hotel offer in DBV.

I booked a sea view room direct over 6 months in advance, but this is the view from the room I was given. As you couldn't see the water I asked reception if the room I was given was indeed a sea view room to which the answer was an incredulous yes. I asked to change rooms but was told in a not very friendly way that wasn't possible. Zero care factor. If I had the beautiful sea view I had booked and paid for I could have looked past the grumpy customer service, tired bedroom and old fashioned bathroom. It was the most expensive hotel in my 4 weeks in Europe and the worst quality. The room and reception service would be a 1. The decent breakfast upped the rating to 2.

Zatrzymalismy się w tym hotelu, oczekując wyższego standardu, zwłaszcza przy cenie 1100 zł za dobę. Skorzystaliśmy z opcji obiadokolacji i się nie zawiedliśmy bo było smacznie Największym atutem był piękny widok na morze. Na duży minus: • Brak butelkowanej wody w pokoju • Brak kawy i herbaty w pokoju, a nawet w recepcji – na kawę trzeba czekać do śniadania. • Ręczniki były czyste, ale mocno zużyte, • Hotel ogólnie sprawia wrażenie zaniedbanego: brudne wykładziny, brak dbałości o detale. Za tę cenę oczekuję nie tylko ładnego widoku, ale też komfortu i podstawowych udogodnień. Niestety – nie polecam

Die Lage ist super und direkt am Strand...sehr grosser minus Punkt das Hotel verlangt von seinen Gästen für 2 Personen 30€ für Liegen und Schirm(Abzocke) Das Personal macht den Eindruck sich nicht wirklich für seine Gäste zu interessieren oder man wird schlichtweg ignoriert... Frühstück und Abendessen war aber sehr gut und zu den teuren Preisen in der Stadt eine echte Alternative.. Die Sauberkeit der in die Jahre gekommenen Zimmer war ok ...noch dazu kam das es in dem Zimmer nur eine einzige Steckdose gab und die musste man auch noch suchen... Ansonsten ist Dubrovnik eine sehenswerte Stadt.

Bom custo benefício no momento que fiz a reserva ( novembro de 2024 para se hospedar em junho de 2025) Fica um pouco afastado do centro histórico mas com o bilhete diário de transporte público fica bem acessível ( gastei 11 euros em um bilhete para 3 dias de transporte público em Dubrovnik).

I stayed here on a solo trip a few years ago. Rooms were good. I had a health incident and had to go to the hospital the day I was checking out, and all of my things were in the room. The staff was so kind and kept my room past check out and were very caring. I felt horrible inconveniencing them. Their outdoor restaurant and beach area is gorgeous!

Upon arrival we were placed on the top floor (4) With no elevator. We were told that there was no other option. We entered our room and it was over 80 degrees. Mini fridge didn’t work. Door to the balcony broken. Sleepless night. Had to move the next day. No apology from the management at all. Finally got a room with working air conditioning. Mini fridge didn’t work. The food was average at best. Staff were pleasant. The views from the hotel were great. Bottom line Hotel Splendid was not so Splendid!

The location of the hotel is amazing. Beautiful sea views from the breakfast terrace and our room. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly . Downside was you had to pay €30 per day for your sun beds and parasol and no towels provided either . Also the beach area was open To the public and lots|Of the local school children congregated every day .

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Boden im Zimmer zeigt Risse, die Zimmertür scheint einen Wasserschaden gehabt zu haben und es gibt viel zu wenig Steckdosen, die wiederum an den blödesten Stellen liegen. Im Bad gibt es lediglich eine Badewanne mit Duschvorhang, wobei die Badewanne einen ziemlich hohen Einstieg hat. Die Zimmer sind allgemein sehr hellhörig, sodass man alle Zimmer um sich rum hört. Das Hotel erstreckt sich mit Restaurant, Bar, Terrasse, Empfang und Zimmern über mehrere Etagen, wobei es leider keinen Aufzug gibt. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Das hat uns zum Glück vor den extrem hohen Preisen in Dubrovnik bewahrt. Das Essen an sich war ok. Hier und da was lasch gewürzt, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Die Auswahl war gut. Die Kellner sind leider nicht wirklich aufmerksam oder schnell. Wir wollten öfters gerne noch was trinken, bekamen aber keinen Kellner gegriffen oder wurden schlichtweg ignoriert. In der Nähe vom Strand gibt es eine Hoteleigene Bar. Diese ist grundsätzlich sehr schön. Allerdings wird man, wenn man "nur" trinkt nach ein paar Stunden gebeten zu zahlen und zu gehen. Abgesehen davon, dass Dubrovnik absolut überteuert und mittlerweile Touristenfeindlich ist, würden wir (falls es ein nächstes Mal gibt) ein anderes Hotel aufsuchen. Wir haben uns leider von den Bildern täuschen lassen.

What a lovely hotel! Great location and very handily linked to the Old Town by the number 4 bus. The hotel has everything you need. Breakfast offers choice and the evening buffet is quite tasty. ||The beachside bar and garden restaurant also offered food and drink options so you could make a day of it just relaxing at the hotel in between more hectic days in Dubrovnik. Lapad also is a lovely place to walk out to for a drink whilst you watch the sunset. ||The hotel decor is maybe not the most modern but its charm grows on you and the rooms were clean and tidy. ||Great stay!

We really enjoyed hotel Splendid. The staff were so friendly! Always saying hi and super attentive. Some bar staff at the beach bar were not the same but they weren’t bad or rude. The rooms were lovely, the view from the balcony was amazing! The aircon could have definitely been better though, most nights I had a damp towel over me to cool me better. However, it is to be expected as it is quite old. Although the rooms were fairly old, they were clean and not tatty. The food was excellent! Not much choice compared to a lot of hotel buffets we have been to but quality over quantity always wins! Everything we ate was delicious. However, I was ill one morning and I suspect it was the cold fish starter I ate at the buffet, as that was the only thing I ate different to my partner all day. Although it did ruin one of my holiday days, it was okay. I suspect it was due to the high Histimine content of cold fish. As I also broke out in a rash, but recovered within 24 hours. This is always a risk you take with buffets and it may be just personal to me and my bodies tolerance. As the food was excellent and I still have no complaints. The beach is beautiful for a few hours in the morning, quiet and peaceful. However, from about 9am, children swarm the beach and splash, scream and just generally do what children do. Which is fine, such is life! I respect that this is a safe beach for locals and their children and I wouldn’t want to complain about this, I just personally prefer peace and quiet. Which unfortunately the beach is not! Another downside of the beach is that there is no shade! The only way to get shade is to rent a chair and umbrella, which isn’t cheap like most of Dubrovnik. There are only 2 cabana beds set back behind the bar, we were lucky to get one of the 2 on our beach day as we decided to get to the beach after breakfast. This was the only free way of acquiring a bed in the shade and relative peace and quiet. The hotel could definitely benefit from more of these. Overall, the stay was great and I believe reasonable price for the area. I enjoyed the stay despite the above slight problems. Thank you for being so attentive and genuinely nice people, as Croatians are.

The views and food are great! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Drinks quite expensive but that’s the same all over Dubrovnik. Room was comfortable, nice balcony views. Bus stop right outside to get into old town and back easily. The only negative point is that there is nowhere to get coffee before breakfast opens at 7am, which is very late. A simple paid coffee machine in the lobby would fix this. Hvala :)

Un hotel viejo, antiguo, con pésimo servicio. Lo único bueno es la ubicación y la vista. Se quedan sin toallas de playa y encima te cobran las Reposeras. Bastante malo, no volvería jamás.

. What a great find.. fantastic hotel. Great location. A short bus ride away from the Old Town with a bus stop right outside. Far from the crowds. Peaceful and with a lovely swimming area . Buffet breakfast was excellent, the Beach Bar and Tramontano restaurant both excellent. |However the wonderful staff make this a truly great hotel. Every single member of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. |Hvala svim puno

Had drinks here. Waiter unfriendly. We were made to feel unwelcome and to top it off he did not present us with a bill but just put amount into the card machine smd asked us to tap our card without us seeing what he had put. I asked him to show us the amount which was about 10 euros too much. Would not recommend this place at all
