This is hands down one of my favorite hotels where I have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Natasa, who, along with Tina, Isa and the rest of the staff made us feel right at home. Their suggestions and directions were spot-on, ensuring we made the most of our visit. The hotel’s location is perfect, nestled in a quiet oasis that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The architecture and design of the hotel is beautiful, with every detail thoughtfully curated. Our private balcony with lavender was an oasis where we could unwind with a good book from the hotel’s charming collection and a bottle of wine after a long day of sightseeing and travels. One of the many little touches that stood out was finding fresh milk in the fridge—so that you could wake up and make yourself a French press coffee of an amazing cup of tea. The only downside to our experience was having to leave this wonderful place! We will definitely come back.

We loved our stay in April1550. It is thoughtfully designed with tasteful decor worthy of a boutique experience. It’s a small hotel yet you have everything you need for a city break stay. Highlight was the locally sourced breakfast (changing daily).

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Ljubljana , in a quiet spot away from the busy restaurant's and bars but only a few minutes walk from the river .|The hotel is a calm welcoming home from home , the proprietor Natase is very friendly and helpful as are the rest of the hotel team .|Every need was catered for in the room , nice to escape from having the usual unwanted tv but with the nice touch of a bluetooth music system .|Breakfast was delicious , wonderful fresh food including cooked tarts , pastries and fresh fruit , coffee and tea included on request all day cheerfully delivered to your room as required .|Thanks very much for helping make our trip to Ljubljana so memorable , Kim and Steve

We have just come back today from Ljubljana and we have been absolutely rewarded with this hotel.||We travelled with our 2.5 years old daughter and our room was well furnished for her. They had some infant games there, books and the owner even prepared toddler cutlery, plate and cup - lots of attention to detail!! We had the tree top studio which was very spacious and had a lovely balcony.|The studio as well as the entire hotel is super clean and well furnished.||The breakfast was absolutely delicious. All local products, freshly prepared with love and low sugar use.||We can only recommend this place. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. You can also easily take your toddler/baby along. They will try to help you as much as possible.||Lastly we also really enjoyed the location itself. Within 5-10 min walking you are in the center. The local restaurants and bars are really inviting you to sit down and enjoy the city

A gorgeous hotel, with a great location (very close to the castle, the river, and the center, without the crowds being close by). Rooms are spacious, modern, and clean, and the staff is very kind and capable. Breakfast was also phenomenal. A wonderful place to stay when visiting Ljubljana!

Natasha and Tina are a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay at April1550 and the Ljubljana area. Alenka's breakfast is over the top and ensures you are fueled to start your day!

Absolutely wonderful place, very refined and warm, one would simply like to live there. The owner is extremely friendly & welcoming and the staff alike, everything is clean, harmonious and comfortable. The food is just delicious and healthy. Congrats to Alinka, the chef. On the top of that, Nataša was incredibly helpful. I recomend this place to anyone.

For people who like to read, the hotel has a tastefully curated collection of books placed everywhere, including bedrooms. The books are picked by a reader for readers, rather than just ordered by bulk for decorative purposes. Breakfast starts at 8:00 AM, and it consists of a wide variety of local products procured locally, as well as fresh cakes and dishes prepared right there by Alenka. You will be a two-minute walk away from the city's most lively street and beautiful riverfront. ||What makes this place so special is that it is a family-owned business with a vision: Natasa and her husband are frequent travelers and decided to create the hotel they wish they had found on their travels. The result is a marvel that I cannot recommend more highly.

Natassa is unique, she makes you feel comfortable even from the 1st email with the confirmation of the reservation. ||The rooms are exceptional, the design details make them unique and at the same time make you feel appreciated. ||Hotel’s ambience is that of “tranquility”, “simplicity”, “home feeling”, modern and earthy. ||There are no words to describe breakfast!! All the delicious tastes combining local and international cuisine! ||I truly felt the love that Natassa put in this hotel! A big thank you for the hospitality. This is such a cute hotel and my family really enjoyed our stay here. The owner is super helpful and it feels almost like you are a guest in her home. Breakfast is great with all locally sourced products/ingredients and the coffee is great. Rooms were stylish, big and very comfy. Excellent location to explore Ljubljana. Highly recommend.

One of the best experiences I've ever had at a hotel. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated heritage building that has been very tastfully done with lots of modern touches. We stayed in the tree top studio, to enable us to have extra room for our son and the room was perfect. Plenty of room for him to run around in and separate bedrooms, so we could all get some sleep. It made a pleasant change not to have a TV in the room as well, so the focus was on spending time together. The breakfast was varied and delicious with lots of local produce and specialities. Natasa and her team are what makes the hotel though. Lots of personal touches like leaving childs games, a childs bowl and cup for our son in the room and always being willing to go above and beyond to help make your stay that much more special. They make you feel so welcome it's like coming home at the end of the day. The perfect place to explore Ljubljana and the surroundng area.

I stayed in room number 3 and it was a very memorable experience to put in sum. To start with, the owner upgraded my room type due to availability which was a nice surprise. The room itself was designed very beautifully and was absolutely spotless. It was very clean. I walked in to a hand-written note welcoming me along with some cookies and hot tea. The shower water pressure was great and temperature was perfect. The slippers and robe in the room were a nice touch as well. The bed was very comfortable. I was able to fall asleep within seconds. There were plenty of charging ports in the room. The location was great and very central to any sights you would need to visit. I felt safe as a solo traveler walking in that area during my stay. The breakfast was something special as well. Everything was made fresh and I appreciated the Slovenian local dishes, fresh juice and fresh bread in particular. The staff was very professional and friendly as well. I had some great conversations with Natasa and she is a wonderful person. I am glad I got to meet her and hope to visit here again in the future. The staff certainly made it feel like home. Do not hesitate to stay here. You will have a very memorable stay. Everything was above and beyond.

Tout était absolument parfait, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés ! On arrive en effet dans un petit hôtel très bien situé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût ! Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen . Von der Gastgeberin hin bis zu den Zimmer war alles nach unseren Vorstellungen. Und auch das Frühstück war sehr gut gewählt mit Einheimischen Produkte. Wir kommen gern nochmals im Sommer zurück in dieses schöne Hotel. Preis Leistung alles super. Macht weiter mit diesem Standard.👍

What a wonderful stay we got to experience at the April1550! There is literally nothing that should have been different and so much inspiration we took home. The owner successfully merged the old and contemporary, always being respectful to the bones of this old house. The most lovely and well thought through breakfast, beautifully set up and after the first breakfast we kept dreaming about the second to come. Each day there were different dishes served along the “classics”. To sum it up: great location (everything in walking distance), beautiful architecture, wonderful team. Beyond any expectations we had!
