This restaurant was the unexpected highlight of my trip to Croatia—and easily one of the most memorable dining experiences of the year. I hadn’t planned or researched anything in advance; I simply happened to walk by, and the striking design immediately drew me in. Housed in a soaring, high-ceilinged hangar, the space is painted a moody navy blue, creating an atmosphere that feels both dramatic and intimate. A single, elongated oval-shaped white table stretches through the center of the room like a modern relic—evocative of ancient Greek ruins. Though I usually dislike communal seating, here it’s executed with such intention and elegance: generous spacing between parties ensures privacy, and it never feels like you're sharing a table with strangers. A window into the kitchen invites curiosity and connection, and the overall aesthetic is nothing short of breathtaking. Scales suspended from the ceiling subtly reference the restaurant’s roots—the owners are fishermen—and add a thoughtful, personal touch to the space. The service was as memorable as the setting. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, with an impressive knowledge of the menu. Each dish was presented with care and described in detail, adding depth to the experience and making it feel both refined and relaxed. Throughout the evening, a duo of percussionists played live music, enriching the atmosphere without overwhelming it. The dried and smoked bonito is an absolute standout—deeply flavorful and beautifully presented. Every course that followed, right through to dessert, impressed with its balance of taste, texture, and visual appeal. This restaurant is simply unmissable when visiting Vis. In fact, it’s reason enough to return.

Preise hoch, aber top Qualität und raffinierte Kombinationen.In Vis denkt mittlerweile jeder er kann für ein bisschen Grill 30 Euro pro Menü verlangen, mit fragwürdigen Portionen.Das war vor einogen Jahren nicht so. Hier hatten wir zum ersten Mal wieder ein „e valja!“ gefühl statt zu „ a je nas turiste dere“. Ich bin Kroate, aber man muss wirklich mal sagen, dass es löcherlich ist was man mittlerweile in anderen Restaurants für „žar” zahlt mit mini Beilagen. Ihr wart unser Highlight in 4 Tagen dieses Jahr. Und 10 Jahre Inselerfahrung. Svaka čast 👍🏻

Beautiful restaurant on the Vis riva. Great atmosphere and design of the interior. We had warm appetizers (fried anchovies, black tempura anchovies and scampi ravioli) and every main course of the menu. Everything was really tasty. No flavour was out of place and combined really well. I would recommend you to reserve a table because it seems to be full every evening.

Sve super okusi su bile jako neobični i ukusni.Jedino je usluga bila malo lošija od ostalih stvari jer je bilo premalo osoblja pogotovo pod našim stolom.Cijene su bile relativno visoke

Le cadre de la salle Restaurant est vraiment surprenant et de toute beauté. Par contre un gros loupé sur leur bar qui donne sur une vue cuisine qui est totalement décalée et hors sujet.

Ovo mesto je bilo market za prodaju ribe pre 100 god. I zadržao je kao interesantne kamene stolove bivše tezge. Jako interesantan enterijer, probajte carppacio i usluga je na nivou.
