I would never rent a car from Sixt in Belgrade, Serbia again. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and not solution-oriented at all. Overall, a very disappointing and untrustworthy service. I strongly advise against renting from this location. Greetings from Switzerland.

Super Service od samog starta, Luka M je bio tog dana, ljubazano prihvatio na salter, sve lepo objasnio za kratak rok od 5min vec sam mogla preuzeti auto. Auto je bio Renault Clio, Nov , cist , stvarno sve velike pohvale. Svakome mogu preporuciti Auto Sixt Rent a Car u Beogradu. Ako opet trebam da biram, opet bi uzela Sixt rent a car i svakome mogu preporuciti.

DON’T USE SIXT SERBIA!!!!! I’ve been a loyal SIXT customer, but this was my worst experience ever. Got a flat tire the day after pickup. Called SIXT right away — they said BMW would contact us, but we waited over 5 hours on the roadside with no update. I had to call SIXT over 10 times just to push them before BMW finally came late at night. No replacement car was ever provided. We had to cover €125 out of pocket for hotel and taxi. SIXT had initially promised a 1-day refund and waived fuel fee, but after following up, they finally responded to my email just to say: no refund at all. How can SIXT charge us for a day we had no car, no replacement, and had to pay extra just to get back on track? I even paid for insurance, but when it mattered, it was completely useless. This experience made me completely lose trust in SIXT Serbia. Never again!

*Response to Sixt: I emailed you with a complete accounting of everything from pickup to return and the extra charge you made. Please check your email.* Images included: 1) pre-rental inspection paperwork via email from sixt. It clearly shows the damage (removed my info, this occurred May 2025) 2) 2 stills from my rental pickup video showing the damage that was questioned later. You can clearly see the passenger side massive dent and car-length scratch present. 3) 1 still from my rental dropoff video that clearly shows the damage still there at return. The rest is bugs and bird poop from driving on the highway. TL;DR *The car itself-despite its heavily damaged appearance- was very solid/no issues with performance. 1) ALWAYS take a video of your car at pickup and return. It will save you a lot of money/trouble/questions at pickup or during your rental. On return, this location tried to claim preexisting damage that was present at pickup, was new. Video saved me. 2) Not all the locations have a car center. I scheduled my pickup at the Hilton Hotel and was unable to actually pick up the car there-I had to be taken to their dorcal location, adding an extra hour to my pickup time (waiting in line, etc) 3) Check with your credit card company and auto insurance company before getting any rental company car insurance. 4) I do not recommend this location for rental. But I do recommend Sava Centar location. Details: Regarding video: It doesn't matter what country or company you use...always take a video before and after. The paperwork usually shows damage but its not always clear-and a video is better. I have run into this issue several times here in country AND in other countries-and my video has saved me several times *They will try to tell you "you dont have to take a video, its all documented". Do it anyway. I've rented from sixt before and had a good experience at the sava centar location. For Sixt rentals here in center Belgrade: Check/call to see what location is a rental lot and only pickup/return to that location. I prepaid and set the pickup at the Belgrade hilton hotel. The pickup time allowed for some deviation to my plans-but the information was clear that its an "easy/quick rental pickup". Instead, I arrived at the hotel to learn Sixt was unable to bring the car there and I had to go to the dorcal location and wait to pick up my car. Over 1 hour after scheduled - i had a car. I was told its best to only pickup at an actual lot. Lesson learned. I am not sure you can actually pick up at any of their non-lot locations and it CAN severely impact your timing if you are needing to go somewhere/airport/etc. The car drove great for the 10 days I had it. No performance issues at all. Dropoff was scheduled at Hilton Hotel, but I decided to drive it to Dorcal due to the pickup issues. Very good decision. On return, the person tried to tell me that a massive dent that was pre-exisiting, was new. They said it was not on their paperwork, although it was on mine they emailed me. Thankfully I took video at pickup. If i had dropped the car off at the hilton as planned, they would have made me come back to dorcal to show video proof, or I potentially would have been charged on my card and had to dispute it after the charge. I've seen that happen before with rental places (not just here). Regarding insurance: Your credit card you use often has benefits that include auto rental insurance (and yes includes loss of use). You can call your CC company before renting to see what the card benefits are. Otherwise, if you have auto insurance for your own vehicle elsewhere: Its often far cheaper to add rental car insuruance for a month than it is to pay large daily fees if you are renting more than a few days. As far as the attempt to claim "that wasn't here before" on the car: I'm getting tired of rental places here doing this. This is the 3rd time a car rental place has done this in the past year in country.

The worst Sixt I have ever been at... Do not hire from these guys. I ordered everything, and got everything settled with my Platinum card for an upgrade, as a Platinum member, but they didn't take my VISA! What kind of ridiculous place ia this? They could only take two types of cards, and I said I could even prepay everything else. (I already prepaid the reservation). And they still would not give me a car. So I called my Papa and asked him to give the card of a similar card they were asking about, and they refused because he was not present. Let me tell you, in all the years I have been using any rent a car place, and believe me, I rented cars every single day before in my work as I travelled more than 300 days a year, this has never happened. I'm also a Presidents member of Hertz and they have never treated me like this. So just let me wrap this up, if my coordinator paid for this and wanted to use the company card (not in my name), then I could not have rented a car here. Do you hear how idiotic this is???? Nope, skip this place, they're a joke.

Ik heb hier een auto gehuurd en zo goed als volgetankt terug afgeleverd. Bij verhuur is aan mij verteld dat er 20 euro in rekening zou worden gebracht bij niet geheel volle tank zoals ook op de website aangeboden. Ik ging akkoord met deze optie. Vervolgens kreeg ik thuis een factuur van 88 euro voor de kilometers van de benzine die zij zelf nog extra hebben berekend. Dit betekent dat bovenop mijn tankbeurt van 45 euro ik ook nog deze 88 euro kan betalen. Dit is niet wat mij is verteld en dan had ik deze optie ook nooit genomen. Ik huur hier geen auto's meer.

Be aware: you must call to get true understanding of vehicle availability. Frustratingly - when one goes to the SIXT website and tries to book at this location, it only ends up sending a request to the branch which then must confirm the availability of the car. I had made plans with friends outside of Belgrade thinking there was going to be a car available having looked at Sixt’s site, only to learn after calling them multiple times that there would not be any vehicles available for the following five days. Real shame - have rented here many times in the past and have had no complaints, and also this has not been the way of working. Staff on the phone was helpful about explaining why this system is in place - but sorry: you just need to do better. With any rental - either be *very clear, right from the start* that users can only make requests. Better yet, if things are or aren’t available - reflect that upfront in availability.

Не берите здесь авто, они требуют обязательно кредитную карту! Если у тебя только дебетовая карта тебе не дадут машину. И не вопрошают деньги потерли здесь 250 евро просто так.
