Had a great experience with Goldcar. When we picked up the car, there was no wait time at all. The Goldcar employee spoke English very well and was friendly throughout the process. There were no surprises no unusually high deposits or hidden fees. We received a brand new Skoda Scala with only 1,100 km on it, which was a pleasant surprise. Excellent price-to-quality ratio. Highly recommended!

Make your own judgement based on this and possibly your future nightmare experience: we booked our rental online a week prior with full insurance. Arrived to the counter 3 hours late due to a flight delay, company has our flight information. We get to the desk and they say we pay 198 euro for the delay. Obviously it’s completely unreasonable, and it was 16:40 when we got there, not some late hours. Then we were walking out and they said “if you don’t pay the 198 euro then you also won’t be able to get a refund for the reservation you made.” We said no and cancel everything, makes no sense. Then they said “ok ok, we make it 150 euro instead of 198.”

Super friendly and helpful team! I hired a 2025 car and it was absolutely amazing. I had a minor hiccup when a tyre burst, but the response was incredibly quick! They answered within seconds of the receptionist calling and sorted everything out smoothly (less than 2 hours). I ended up with two brand new tyres, all covered by them. Really impressed and very pleased with the whole experience!

Vorsicht! Ich habe den über Check 23 reservierten und bezahlten Mietwagen wegen einer Annullierung unseres Fluges erst am Folgetag abholen können. Vermieter telefonisch informiert aber die Mietwagenbuchung wurde durch Vermieter storniert. Aber es wurde uns für einen viel höheren Preis ein neues Fahrzeug angeboten. Abzocke

Vorsicht! Diese Firma handelt unseriös – dringend abzuraten! Ich habe über easyJet ein Auto inklusive Versicherung gebucht. Bei der Abholung wurde mir jedoch mitgeteilt, dass keine gültige Versicherung vorliege – obwohl ich bereits im Voraus gezahlt hatte. So blieb mir nichts anderes übrig, als vor Ort eine weitere Versicherung für ganze 168 Euro für eine Woche abzuschließen. Schon am Schalter habe ich den Eindruck geäußert, dass hier etwas nicht mit rechten Dingen zugeht, doch leider wurde ich ignoriert. Eine derart teure Versicherung ist mir in all meinen Reisen noch nie untergekommen. Mein Fazit: Finger weg von diesem Anbieter! Die Abläufe wirken extrem dubios und nicht vertrauenswürdig.
